My least favorite maps are hemmhorage, bonyard and spire...

except for hemmhorage, which i dislike but i dont hate it that much, due to the enemy getting snipers and camping at the caves

    Halo ce - Prisoner.
Most of the maps in this game were very poorly made, this was one of few that played well but prisoner actually played great.

    Halo 2 - Sanctuary.
Every map in this game was close to perfect but sanctuary has to take the cake for me.

Halo 3 - Construct, pit or guardian.
I can't choose though these three amazing maps.

    Halo reach - None.
This game had absolutely NO good maps aside from the forged ones.

    Cod 4 - Strike.
There are other maps that are more fun to play but this is probably the most solid.

    Waw - Asylum.
There were a few other good ones but the tanks ruined most of them for me.

    MW2 - Storm.
Storm was my favorite though this game is filled with great maps.

    Black ops - Hazard.
This games map designs sucked, all very boring or just plain bad. The only other good one was summit and maybe hanoi but that map was too big.

    MW3 - Boardwalk.
Hardhat comes in a close second for this but boardwalk is absolutely great.

Bad company 2 - Panama canal.
Actually the only map I cared to play a lot.

    BF3 - Seine crossing.
The metro was another good one but other than that I didn't care for the maps.

    CS - Dust 2.
Too many maps had too many dead ends and this one just is much better than most the rest.

Quake 3a - The fogotten place.
There were some better ones but i can't remember their names, this is one of my favorites though.

    Crysis 2 - Skyline
Loved it in the beta and it just kept my heart from there.

I can't really think of a favorite to be honest. I can think of a couple of least favorites...
I have two categories in my head:

Maps that are fun (The Pit, Midship, Valhalla, Badwater, Katabatic, Ren Var: Harbor and a couple more are the top tier)

Maps that should die in a fire
Which subdivides into kitchen fire (squad-based FPS maps in Halo), burned at the stake (Pinnacle), , inferno (Sword Base and Reach default BTB) and hell (Most of the community maps in MM and Nuketown).

    I'll look at Midship:

I love the amount of various jumping surfaces there are, as well as the tight and fast pace of the map. The circular nature and sheer variety of movement make this a great map IMO.

    The Pit:

It's The Pit. Symmetric, fun for Flag and other Objective, great weapon set and a big variety of ranges and LoS to fit all weapons and playstyles.

    Valhalla:

Great BTB. Nice vehicle and infantry paths, weapon control of the Laser and a variety of power weapons and vehicles that don't completely dominate the map while certainly marking a presence.

    Thunder Mountain (Especially Phase 3):

I dunno. I just like this map. Height variety that is accessible for all classes, multiple tunnels and areas that create small fights that still allow for all classes to fight at their best while creating room-based engagements and interesting platforming and positioning. Vid has all phases, but it should work.

    Katabatic:

Multiple capping paths, epic battles in the mid, towers for Sentinel control and other purposes set up a great stage for CTF and Control Points too. I love the two major cap routes and the battles that can take place on them. Different areas are best suited to different classes, and each has a good role in defending or capturing the flag or points. Vid is not the best, but it works.

    Ren Var: Harbor:

Nostalgia. Great times on this map. I loved the two-pronged assault of the caves battle and vehicle-based combat on the ice shelf with the AT-AT or AT-TE. In the later phases of the match, the cohesion of both sides and intense encounters when the walker reaches the defending lines is more entertaining than the same encounter on Hoth IMO, probably due to more varied terrain and an interesting base setup. I'd love to see something similar in Halo, but it would be hard to make without such a slow and powerful presence like the walker.

@Scorch: You should post gameplay of the maps you selected that you don't think people know.

Since Paints already mentioned Sidewinder, what is one of my favorites all the way, I'll present:

    That.

This map is way to good for any FPS I have seen in my entire life.
