Are you an idiot? I think that you may be. This map is not a copy at all, vertquest is an entirely different map. Maybe you should actually play both before making an uninformed accusation. No it did not, go back and read vertquest's description. Cosmic Rick states his inspiring reason for making vertquest, it was faction. Faction came out first.
What are you talking about? Vertkwest =/= Faction. In fact, Faction was posted before Vertkwest. Also, having played on both maps, I can confirm that they are very different. If your going to make a charge of shenanigans against the Guilders, at least check your facts.
Forget about which one came first. Vertquest and Faction are two of many maps made around Conquest, a game that was created a long time ago.
Faction is amazing. When I first saw the draft that Furious wrote, I was a bit skeptical on how it would work out, but once I played the map I knew it would be great. I swear my team always lost though.
When i played this map the teams weren't fair and i always seemed to be on the team with more people. But it was still fun and i even played it 1v1 against some guy because everybody else quit and it was still fun.
It's a territories gametype variant. The maps that are associated with it encourage a very linear style of play. There is usually a center territory that the two teams meet up at after going through their own territories. The two teams fight for this center territory and pretty much push back and forth trying to obtain it. Also, Furious, do you have a link to Conquest V2? I've been meaning to try that out. Have you tried it out on this map and does it work better?
I used other objects such as boxes to make sure walls stood up straight. For the base, I used those little lines on the floor to make sure everything was even. That, and a lot of patience.
all the maps that go with the game type Conquest are sweet. I think the teleporter box is a great idea. forge hub got the best maps!!!!!1
furious is highly thought of in my book, all of his ideas are genius, and little details like you added interlocking the flag stand. its crazy. my favorite part about this map is how well balanced it is. Cover, weapons, distance, everything is to the max of perfection. well done boys.
