While Im at school forging together a tower made out of toothpicks to get school marks. I've notice Fable 3 came out. I had plans to get it but, I want to know if its better or worse than Fable 2. Im a big fan of Fable. But I didn't get the chance to see any reviews. Buy or Rent?

A lot of people are ranting about it, to be honest i think it's alot like fable 2 with slightly improved graphics. it has more or less the same things in it exept with a few changes, not exactly improvements, just changes. theres still some of the same types of glitches and flaws that fable 2 had. I'd say rent it if you're not a big fan, but if you're looking to complete it fully, collect everything etc, i'd say buy. It takes ages to collect everything.

I never really liked Fable, but it's getting worse is what I've heard. I think completing the game Fable 1 is more rewarding and satisfying

Rent. I borrowed it from my friend and beat it yesterday. Great voice acting, combat is better than Fable 2, and the story feels more personal. Furthermore, they've embraced the hilarity they've been experimenting with in the first two games, so the overall "drama" is nicely balanced by quite a bit of humor. Also, the quests are much more memorable and unique, blending the aforementioned humor with the surreal quality of the "Chesty" quest from Fable 2. They're much more diverse and much more fun to play through as a result (I actually wanted to beat every side quest before returning the game, not the case with the other games).

The dealbreaker is that there are quite a few annoying bugs to keep me from ever wanting to replay it, like the "hold the person's hand to escort" mechanic can find the NPC stuck behind an invisible corner jutting out of a rock and force you to go back to get them. Also, the dog's intelligence has been dumbed down, it stops randomly and is quite confused by any small obstacles in its path to its destination (like a dig spot).

Anyway, it's worth at least one play through imo.

I have loved the game so far. The humor is great (I haven't played any other Fable games) and the combat is incredibly fun. However, there are tons of glitches, most being small and not game breaking... But when I turned on my Xbox today and tried to load up my near-game-completed-collectable-finished-gathering save, I was told it was corrupt and there was nothing I could do about it.

Awesome stuff. Now I get to start all over.

I thought the game was relatively short and kept most of the same problems that Fable II had: its way too easy. The fact that there are virtually no serious consequences for anything (death, getting caught by guards, etc...)
On top of that, the plotline really took a turn for the worse when you become king. All you do is listen and decide upon people on trial. The half of the game also got terrible as the calendar showing (# of days until attack) went in intervals of 20 or 30 and then jump unexpectedly from about 240 to 1, leaving players with no time to invest and stabilize their treasury.

It is pretty entertaining for the first playthrough, but it has it's flaws and has very little to do...
