The theme is, in fact, an underground excavation site. Due to lack of aesthetics such as flood lights, it feels a bit empty in terms of the theme. This map started as an idea from BLACKXBATTERY. His idea was to make a giant dome on the side of a sand dune, his idea didn't go farther than that. Thats where I came in, I designed the interior to be wide open to make up for the small size. Thanks to respawn areas, spawn killing has come to a minimum. Lack of cover was a concern, a concern that was difficult to avert. Our solution was simply to put a bit more buildings for spawns. Battle Rifles aren't recommended because of the upward nature of the map. In my opinion, using the Battle Rifle in this map can be sickening. Very interesting idea... I'll give it a download and check it out because i have absolutely no idea how this will play. I'll get back to you on that part.
When I first saw this I was like "lolwut?". But now I see what you have done and it looks very impressive. I hope its game play lives up to the amazing aesthetics. Jeeze, this must have taken ages! Great work.
So I downloaded the map, (haven't actually gotten a game in on it) but a pretty good portion of the right side of the hill have unwalkable slopes. And I know for a fact that walking then all of the sudden not being able to walk anymore and sliding back down is a gameplay killer. I personally think you should do something to amend that. (It is do-able, trust me) At this point, (IMO) this map wouldn't be anymore than a casual game, a wait-while-my-friends-join-so-we-can-play-customs, if you will, map. It has potential, but at the moment, I feel like it won't play well at all. Consider maybe tearing down part of the dome on the low side and adding a "cave" area for some cover. In the current form of the map the only reason to go to the bottom would be if you slide there. Which will happen to most people on the right hand side of the map anyway.
wow this is really sick, excellent ghost merging ideas, this is definitely an awesome 5/5 map. You've got my download! It even looks cool from the outside lol
