I like the little Hallway. It would be cool if you could press a button to shut the doors again, have the remaining floor drop out, and then finally return to it's start position. It may not get you a kill point but a suicide point can be the key to a game.
I thought through all kinds of little tricks, but once scripting degradation reared its ugly head, I made it all a one-off activation. I cannot abide scripts that fall apart after multiple uses. My larger animations are basic Z changes and I can only get away with those because the delta shifts aren't noticeable so far away. The turbine doors would shift and change location , etc. Also, I love the mancannon shooting you through the turbine and wanted that to be a major part of the central level. If you could keep closing it off, it would devalue it. I'm hoping the blast shields & pistons behave for people...
I would think suicide would be highly possible with doors and floor open during intense gameplay. Thumbs up on this map!
One time I had to keep clambering back up on the tiny conduit rails after falling constantly while dodging grenades being thrown in there and I ultimately failed. It was hilarious.

Create your own looking button and have an invisible interactive piece that despawn a when you press it, and set the respawn to like 5 seconds, that way people can't spam the button and break the script.

One tiny querk - There is a gap in your trap floor while it is closed. Other then that the map is absolutely gorgeous with all the moving objects, and basic aesthetics. Would love to see more maps like this or just from the creator. These type of maps deserve to be in playlists. One question though. Would it be possible to make those wind turbines spin as if operable?
For the most part, the doors behave properly and I even scooted them in closer to the central seam with z fighter to help out. When the doors load in customs, they are at a minuscule angle but its basically undetectable for normal play. I already have permanently hidden objects int eh map due to crappy despawn logic so I wont be doing it anymore. --- Double Post Merged, Feb 5, 2016 --- Thanks for the support! This map is very much designed with matchmaking in mind. A flexible size for 4-8 players is perfect for a playlist. I can understand that the aesthetic scripting could get axed if it ever got added. We'll see if they like it enough to consider it! Gap fixed! Thanks for the notice. In forge there is no gap but customs messes with items coordinates a tad and caused it. On spinning turbines: Rotational scripting is super bugged when performing on welded objects facing different directions. I'm surprised I got the pistons to rotate int eh turbine hall for 12 minutes without breaking. They DO break after random intervals, but usually it happens after more time than a slayer match. I cannot wait for 343 to fix the rotation crap so can get them all spinning.

Thanks for the feature bud! The scripted doors you mentioned have been removed to promote quicker map flow. I suppose I should post my final map update that occurred before the 2v2 throwdown deadline.

The scripting is unfrigginbelievable. And not only that, all the subtle aesthetics make me smile. This is beyond going the extra mile, it is circumnavigation.
6 months of off/on dev and monthly updates let me layer ideas over a long period of time. I didnt even think of making LEDs until our object count was increased. Then I went crazy haha
