Download Escalation This is my first map, so bear with me if I do something wrong. Escalation is a symmetrical map where the main focus is getting on top of the map because most of the good stuff is up there. There's a Ghost, Fuel rod, and sword. The Ghost and Sword can be reached without the use of a grav lift, but it leaves you exposed while jumping up to them. There are many weapons and an Active Camo to use at your disposal. When the match starts, most teams will probably rush the Flamethrower which is on top of the bridge. Some may make it up there with a grav lift, and use it to reach the fuel rod and fire grenades. This is still in the beta version. I still have some spawns to straighten out and some of the map needs to be adjusted. I need to add emergency spawn blockers also. Weapons: 2 Needlers 2 Plasma Rifles 2 Brute Shots 2 BRs 2 Carbines 1 Sword 1 Fuel Rod 2 Sentinel Beams 1 Plasma Pistol 4 SMGs 1 Flamethrower Equipment 1 Flare 2 Regenerators 2 Bubble Shields 2 Radar Jammers 4 Frags 8 Spikes 4 Plasmas Vehicles 1 Ghost Now for some screenies. I'll post action screenies later if you want to play on this map with me. An overview of the map, with the fuel rod and 2 fire grenades at the very top. A look at the sword spawn. A base. There is a Needler, Plasma Rifle, and a grav lift in there. Keep going forward and there's a BR. Right outside of the base. The Bubble Shield is on top of the Fence wall. The courtyard. There are 2 spike grenades at the back of the truck and there's a regenerator on top of the truck. A view of the courtyard and the hallway. The Sentinel Beam is on top of the crate. Right underneath where I took the picture is a Carbine. The Ghost and central structure. The camo is right under the Ghost and outside of the open box is a Flare and 2 plasmas. Brute Shot. If you keep going in to the base, you can find a Radar Jammer. Go up the stairs to get onto the bridge with the flamethrower. The bridge with the flamethrower and the fuel rod up top. I was planning to do some interlocking when I get the time. The area where the 4th pic needs a lot of work.
interlocking as metioned above but also in the pic of the base it looks like there's only one way out. You should put a crate or something the so people can jump over the wall in stead of having a choke point. The rest looks pretty good especially for a first map.
No. interlocking is only needed making a small map flow better. or to make something fit in a smaller space. Interlocking is not mandatory for a good map.
Yeah, I guess. I put a grav lift in the base as another method of getting out, but I'll use that crate idea.
I got a better idea. I might put a one-way teleporter in the base to send them towards the back of the map. I can't think of a location though...
