When I try to upload my map to the File Share, I get an error that says: Name Blocked - Name of the creator in not allowed on Xbox Live.

Any ideas as to how to fix this error?

Assuming your gamertag is similar to your forum name, Xbox may take offense to the popular abbreviation of 'Baloney Sandwich', preventing you from ever sharing.

A common message I get regards a "-blam!-"ed custom variant's description, but I've never heard of the creator's name being the problem. If "BS" is the bs, then why did Xbox allow you to use it? Here's what I would do...

Have a friend save the map and attempt to publish it to their file share to see if they experience a similar problem.
You could also try to find out if Reach uses a different censorship system than Microsoft.
"Name Blocked" sounds like it may be the map's name causing the problem as well. Change it to "a" and publish it (you can always take it down right after).

    I hope this helps.

I appreciate the input. I actually tried having a friend upload it, but my name still is connected as the creator, so it doesn't work. I also tried to change the name of the map and the map variant.... no dice.

I think it hard to believe that BS is censored by Bungie because my bungie.net name is BS xAnubisx... And I know it's not censored by Microsoft because BS Anubis is my Xbox Live Gamertag.

I would pop the $10 to change my name, but I have a feeling that since that was the Gamertag that was assigned as the original creator, it still wouldn't work.

Try going offline, loading it up, then saving it as a guest.

Trust me a lot of people are having this problem, i had a similar problem, when ever i tried upload to my fileshare it said it the file was created offline, but this was a video of me in matchmaking. But it fixed itself.

However bungie have said there trying to fix it, just wait for a bit, if nothing happens in like a month or so call microsoft and see if its something on their end.

I have this same problem with my gamertag. I contacted Bungie and Xbox Live support 3 times. There is nothing that can be done except a gamertag change. And any files with that gamertag attached to it are un-file sharable.
