I know it's been a while since I've posted a map, I've had very little time in the few weeks leading up to Christmas break, but I've created a gem, definitely my best work so far. Equinox is a Team Based Asymmetric map set up for Slayer, CTF, Assault, Oddball, and KOTH. Recommended gametypes are Team Slayer, 1 Flag and 1 Bomb. This map took some inspiration from BL00D F1R3's Underbog, but I created most of the layout on my own. I would like to thank BL00D F1R3, not only for inspiration, but for his excellent Forge School videos that showed me some new Geo-merging techniques that are easier and more reliable than what I was doing before. I would also like to thank my brother for keeping me sane through all the tough geomerging. So, without further ado, here's Equinox! this map looks prity good. the angling looks perfect, and the geometry layout looks impressive. ill have to say the low floor looks a bit open tho, 4.5/5
This is a nice map maybe feature worthy. I love the sexy interlocking and geomerging, it is really smooth. all in all this is what a competitive map should be. You did an incredible job blocking the map off. and I am sure that this plays amazing on slayer to.
At first i thought the map wasnt really good from the first pic, but after downloading the interlocking is really nice and the layout is very unique in certain parts. However i think parts of the map are very open
Yeah, I know. I tried to fill up the area with stuff at the end, but I was running low on boxes. I'll probably include something there in a V2, but I need an idea to work around. I want to keep the open area around the defender's base, and I couldn't think of anything to do with the hall to attacker's base. Any ideas are welcome!
Thanks for the idea! I was thinking something like a simple stairs to a bridge, but I'll try that too and see how i like it.
