Equilibrium 2.0 "Life isn't fair." 2-8 players [!] GREATLY UPDATED [!] Equilibrium is a small map situated in the gap in between Alaska and Montana. It is meant for 4v4 and smaller, due to its small area. Weapon List: Assault Rifle x2 DMR x4 Shotgun x2 Sniper Rifle x2 Frag Grenades x4 Rocket Launcher x1 Plasma Grenades x8 Needle Rifle x2 Needler x2 Plasma Pistol x2 Plasma Repeater x2 Fusion Coil x4 Cone x4 Health Station x4 Screenshots: Initial Loadout camera Overview. 2 bases at either end, with a central platform. There are two Room, Doubles at either side, with Walkways leading to the bases. Blue base. Has Health Station, DMR at entrance, AR rounds and 2 frag grenades on top. Side base/room. Has a Health Station and a Plasma Pistol outside. Within is a Grav lift which transports players to the Walkway above, where a Shotgun awaits. Sniper Rifle spawn, easy to spot, just outside the bases. Careful not to get killed while grabbing it. Three minute Rocket Launcher spawn below central platform. If you aren't careful, you can and will get fall damage. Exclusive Forge FX for campers. The Cover, Glass is to prevent snipers from dominating the map. Hopefully. The central platform is dangerous as well. Wuh-blam! Also notice that you can jump down onto the central platform from the Room, Double up there. Kinda like the Cage. I built this map thinking of small areas like Beaver Creek, and then thought that this place seemed good to make it. The Fusion Coils are there for fun, mainly because I can't think of anywhere else to place them. I added the Walkway from the previous version, because there apparently wasn't enough ways to get to each base. Now, there are three paths leading into and out of the two bases. Plenty of cover to hide from snipers and to snipe from, and be careful of the Shotgun. Thank you for taking the time to see this. I hope you will enjoy it, and most importantly, provide some constructive criticism. For example, whether the Shotgun is too overpowered. If I recall correctly, I think it was set on "Spare Clips - 2". ~danoob
Asymmetric? How? It looks like an inverse symmetric map to me. I like the layout, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of flanking options.
I'm going to agree with Antares, I think the word you're looking for is Symmetric. He's also correct about flanking options, there are only 2 routes between the 2 bases. With the addition of one more route, you'd have yourself a nice little map, otherwise I'd make this make recommended for 2v2's perhaps? Overall its a nice clean map great for small team battles.
