I know it's been some time since I submitted an original map. My last submission was for the template contest. Turns out that map put me in the mood to keep forging for a while. I decided to come back to my old favorite and fix a few kinks while adding a few smooth edges. Welcome to Epistrophe v2. Click Picture Below to Download After this UNSC power facility was taken over, the Covenant turned it into an enemy base. 4-8 players For those of you who do not remember my first Epistrophe (pronunciation: eh piss trophy), it was an asymmetrical map distinguished by two structures: an archway and a cannon, both of which have been revamped as well as most of the map. Version 1 Version 2 Another slight change in the map was the weapon layout. While Epistrophe is to remain consistent with a preference to Covenant weaponry, some weapons have been adjusted in respawn time, ammo clip, and placement. In old plasma pistol spawn is a mauler where as the plasma pistol has been moved to the top of the archway. A more detailed weapon list will be provided later in the thread. One thing that made Epistrophe a little different than most foundry maps was my incorporation of a ghost. The ghost is still there but so is the spartan laser. There is also an extra fusion coil behind it so make sure no one catches you jumping in it or your joyride will be cut short. But there is one new threat to the ghost, a power drain located near the B signs. Be weary while driving. Version 1 Version 2 Here is the other trademark structure of Epistrophe. As you can see there has been drastic changes. Though the cannon seemed like a good idea in the concept of the map, after much repeated gameplay, it remained useless seeing how even if someone chased you to it and you jumped through it, the could just make a 90 degree turn and continue killing you. So I decided to start from scratch when rebuilding. The front end has been blocked off and a new perk is given when jumping through the cannon. An active camo spawns within the cannon every 180 seconds. Now it would be unfair and unbalanced to spawn a power up so close to the Attackers side and not one to the Defenders. So I got rid of some of the stacks of boxes and constructed what I call the oversheild reactor. The enemy might have a ninja sneaking around but fear not, because you have a juggernaut amungst you. Weapons: Assault Rifle x2 Battle Rifle x2 Carbine x6 Plasma Rifle x4 Plasma Pistol x1 Mauler x1 Equipment: Frag Grenade x4 Plasma Grenade x4 Spike Grenade x4 Power Drain x1 Regenerator x1 Recommended Gametypes: Team Slayer Multi Team Slayer Multi Flag One Flag One Bomb Neutral Bomb It feels great to be forging again. 1st post looks good theres a couple spots i see that could have better interlocking and im not sure about your budget but i think it would play better if you made a ramp where that crate is also i thik its a little to smal for a ghost but thats just me
The layout of the map looks great, and the merging is too, but some things just look out of place, like where the os is. it a=lso seems small. but ill see
This looks great. I love you're interlocking and your geomerging. It looks so smooth. But in some parts it looks a tiny bit too open. But overall, it looks fantastic. Great job. 9/10.
Though in the picture it may look awkward because of the angle, in the actual map it's not so bad. Probably what would seem most out of place is the double box on the opposite side of the cannon.
