Enmity's Gametypes will soon be removed from my fileshare to make room for my newer maps and gametypes. Hostility Abounds Download Enmity: Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details This is my first venture into forging. I never tinkered with it in Halo 3 so it probably came out really rough by standards. This was one of my first posts here, and was prematurely posted (unaware of the map preview section at the time). Gameplay: This map is best played with the following: Slayer - 6-16 Players Team Slayer - 8-16 players Infection - 6-16 Players It currently support those 3 gametypes along with KOTH, though I haven't specified a map-oriented KOTH game-setting. More gametypes will be supported as per user request. I and (more importantly) my testers find the map is too large for 2v2 and 3v3 or even a 4-5 player FFA. This will be addressed in my next project but I do not intend to change this map to further support a low player-count. The testers seemed to have a load of fun when playing with high-counts and I don't want to upset that. Setting: Enmity is set in a former bio-weapons testing gauntlet. During training sessions, a few mishaps have taken place, resulting in the partial destruction of the Annex and the cave-in by the Spry Hutch. Resources - Enmity Initiate's Hall: Plasma Rifle, Plasma Pistol *Blue Base: Medkit *Red Base: Medkit *Stolid Hutch: Plasma Repeater, Armor Lock, Drop Shield, Overshield *Stealth Hutch: Spiker, Active Camo, Hologram, Camouflage Initiate's Hall Screens: Spoiler Non-slayer and non-infection lighting. No FX. Slayer lighting. Juicy and Colorblind FX. Infection lighting. Purple and Nova FX. Skirmish Zone: Shotgun, Fuel Rod Gun, Plasma 'nades x3, Frag 'nades x3, Custom Power-up, Camouflage, Shade Turret, Teleporter *Gravity Chamber: Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer, Golf Club..., Rocket Launcher, Plasma Turret, Plasma Pistol, Teleporter *Spry Hutch: Assault Rifle, Evade, Sprint, Medkit x2, Mounted Machine Gun, Jetpack *Assail: DMR, Needler, Magnum, Needle Rifle, Concussion Rifle, Teleporter *Bulwark: Plasma 'nade, Frag 'nade, Spartan Laser, Focus Rifle, Grenade Launcher, Plasma Launcher Skirmish Zone Screens: Spoiler An overview of the Skirmish Zone. Above the Spry Hutch, where you'll find your jetpacks. Peeking into the Spry Hutch. The entryway to Assail. A nice view of Bulwark. Outside the Gravity Chamber. Annex: Teleporter *Spire: Sniper Rifle (Second Sniper during Infection) Annex Screens: Spoiler A bird's-eye of the Annex. A bit closer for clarification. Detail of the main base. Sniper is in the Spire. Gauging the distance from the main area. Still had to put up those grids and rocks, snipers had a clear-as-day shot before. Doesn't it look purrty? Gametype - Generous Slayer (and Team Slayer) Download Generous Slayer: Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details Download Generous Team Slayer: Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details This mode spawns a separate FX filter from Infection. A much lighter theme meant for main gameplay. All other modes spawn without FX. This card covers both slayer and team slayer. Slayer Screens: A higher-ranking Sangheili reveling in a kill. It seems he was displeased with how sloppy his subordinate was in killing that human... More↓ Spoiler A perfect example of how to hold onto territory. Right through the head. Ah, the joys of jet-packing combined with golfing. Sorry, I meant to hit the grenades. :B He saw that SPNKr and dropped his load right on the floor. Blue team in the Skirmish Zone, trying to prevent the Reds from exiting the Initiate's Hall. That turret isn't such a safe place despite it being out of the way. Shot from across the map (it blew up a second after this screen, vehicles are not invincible). Epic use of Evasion. Whoever lives gets the Sniper. Gametype - Eradication Download Eradication: Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details Notes on Eradication Mode: This mode activates a darkening FX filter for setting the theme. The Tyrant is brought about by using the custom power-up in the Infection Spawn zone. This power-up lasts 90 seconds and respawns every 60 seconds, meaning there can be up to 2 Tyrants on a map in large-scale games. The infection spawn zone only shows up in Infection mode, so don't expect to base gameplay around the structure in other modes. Infection also spawn a few extra kill zones to prevent Jet Pack users staying out of reach of the Infected. Little bits of lore: Half a century after the dissolving of the Covenant, the UNSC and ONI set out in search for remaining Halos and the finding there-in. Specifically, they were looking to research the Flood. They intent was to create more powerful, resilient soldiers using biological material from the Flood. Needless to say, things didn't go well at this particular facility. It's your job to go in and clean up after their mess. These hunter-class zombies are tough motherfuckers. It's not recommended you face them head on. Should these monsters escape the containment field, get the hell away and build up your defenses. They'll be on you fast, so watch out. A Hunter's sense of smell is hearing is impeccable up to 25 meters. Their powerful arms bear extremely dangerous claws at the end. It just so happens that their favorite activities in specimen observation were impaling, decapitation and toying with their prey. While the Tyrants are slower than their Hunter counterparts, they are much more dangerous. The Tyrant's claw is a bit more powerful than the Hunter's. They are invulnerable to head shots and hyper aware of your location (can sense you up to 150 meters), aiding them in being invulnerable to assassination attempts as well. They are unable to use Evade (or any other AA), however... use this weakness to your advantage! Eradication Extra: The original intent for Last Man was to force them to wear a Shotgun and Golf Club, having them go down in a blaze of panic and glory. After all, with Last Man in the gametype options, it DOES show you that you can choose their weapons. Sadly, this doesn't actually work so that plan had to go kaput. Eradication Screens: And again, just moment prior. Seems to be a nice, bloody shot! More↓ Spoiler The Sole Survivor going head-on with a Tyrant-class Infected! The Sole Survivor facing a Hunter and an incoming Tyrant with his Hunter follower. Not such a good idea for him to hole himself up in the Spry Hutch... one way in, one way out. 4 Soldiers guarding the containment zone from atop Blue Base in the Initiate's Hall. 3 Soldiers facing a Tyrant head-on! 2 of them got ****ed up fast, the other ran. I don't recommend being so brave, boys. Notes: Map was tested the other night in the 3 main custom game modes (Infection, Slayer, Team Slayer). Was considered well made and fun but large, lacking players since we only had 6 people. Still looking to test with 8-16 people. I've been working on other gametypes for this map. I'm having trouble getting headhunter drop points to work correctly. The Energy Sword and Grav Hammer are at the BOTTOM of the Gravity Chamber. You can get them without a Jetpack (though they make it a ton easier) but you are very likely to break you back and snap your neck if you try without practicing. KOTH is built into the map but I haven't put together a gametype for it just yet. Extra Screens: Spoiler Arrival in the Annex, ready to shoot that air! Crossing over the wrecked bridge in the Annex. Elite: Ohaidere, I was just trying to suc--- yea... Spartan: Mmhmm... *pop* Another view of another screenshot above. Couldn't decide which to keep. Another view of that epic dodge from above. Rebellious Sangheili vandalism. A little vandalism never hurt anyone, though... Uhm... nevermind.
Hmm u say in your gametype that headshots are worth 5 extra points. You may want to raise the limit as people who are skilled with the DMR can get a headshot with every kill. Meaning 4v4 team slayer, 4 experts with DMR. Game would only last a minute or two. Other than that the map is very good for a first time Ill download it and take a look
The map is now re-released and ready to play! Enjoy, comment, rate and spread! Thank you to the mods for changing some stuff. :3 EDIT: Fixed the main download link.
Ew, I just went and did a search on my map's name and there was a Halo 3 map of the same name. >=[ Seriously, how many people would have chosen THIS synonym for hostility/hatred/animosity? ;~; I feel sad now... But thanks for the downloads so far, guys. Please remember to play the map with the gametype for the proper experience (especially if you are considering critiquing), so far 2 of the 8 downloads were DLed with the gametypes. Also, please leave your comments and suggestions here. I'm thinking of lowering the Hunters to 500% dmg resistance now. People were complaining about how long they live, even though they aren't supposed to be weak like zombies. :x So yea, that should fix it. The Tyrant will stay as it is. How does that sound?
It's surprisingly large given first screen shot I saw of it. I like what you did with the man cannons.
Haha, thanks. That's actually a remnant of when I first bought the game (around October 10th ) and was dicking around with physics traps. Turned out to be a good way to balance 2 of the power weapons that were most detrimental on my more close-combat-style map.
You might wanna go easy on the images. They're beautiful and all (and I can really appreciate it cos Im into graphic design) but **** me its still loading after about 2 minutes and I have a good download rate. Anyways... I don't know what's going. I think this is what has detracted from people posting CnC. Its looks nice and all but you haven't actually explained what its all about. You've said how it works, the maps, the gametypes plus loadouts... but nowhere does it actually say what it is. Is it a map pack because you have images of 3 maps? Is it a series of gametypes? I dunno! Um... yeah. Sorry if I came out harsh, but I think this is the major reason its had less attention than you expected. You have posted something so complicated which a lot of simpler minds (like mine lol) can't understand.
