Just wondering if anyone else has played Endwar, I picked it up today and I was blown away by the voice commands, I was literally able to beat 2-3 levels without pushing any buttons but the right trigger, which allows you to talk. I tried playing online, but I couldn't find anyone. Anyone have it/Thoughts/Complaints about it.
Yeah it's pretty much sweet, and it's a pretty easy game to pick up and play after they teach you how to do the voice commands.
Ya, I am really, REALLY, ****ing enticed by this voice combat style of play. Something that should have been done a long-****in-time ago, and by now, completely tweaked-to-perfection...but, meh, at least it's out now... I don't have it, but I hope to eventually...
Meh, sometimes it reads my voice incorrectly, and says yes ma'am. Just kidding. Anyhow, the voice intake is somewhat screwed up. The game itself isn't that enticing.
My voice reads perfectly, and granted it's kinda just a RTS and RTSs aren't all that exciting, but it's still pretty sweet you can control your troops with the mic.
My voice worked well calibrated and un-calibrated, but I don't like RTS games, because being that guy who runs out with a shotgun in Quantum of Solace and actually kills the other team (basically like going completely nuts with a shotgun) I expect all my men to be able to do that. And they can't. So sorry RTS games, I just can't play you. And Halo Wars is going to be another game I really wish I enjoyed, but just couldn't.
I may get it but i'm more pumped for halo wars, mostly because ensemble studios helped make it and they made age of empires. I played this demo and it didn't appeal to me. In my opinion though, RTS games should stay on the computer, that is where they are most fun. Age of Empires for the win.
