Ender's Game: The Hourglass

    Ender's Game: The Hourglass is based on the popular book series of the same name by Orson Scott Card. In the books the Battle Room has zero gravity, which is impossible in Reach. So, I have created a low gravity, high speed Battle Room that is hourglass shaped, hence the name.

    Gameplay is all about flying around and getting kills. The only reason it has a custom gametype is because Movement has been modified and the Evade Armor Ability is required to reach otherwise unreachable locations (even if you're jumping.)

    Movement:
    Player speed 150%
    Jump height 300%
    Gravity 50%

    There are no weapons on the map (with my gametypes.) When the game starts you select your preferred loadout. You have unlimited ammo.

    The map also features Infection, titled Infect Ender. Max zombie count at gamestart is 3.
    Other gametypes include Ender Pro (Slayer Pro) and Ender SWAT (SWAT).

    This amp looks absolutely amazing. Most maps with loadouts as just power weapons don't appeal to me but the addition of high seed evasion, the shape of the map and low gravity make this map unique. This is a definite download from me.

    GAMETYPE EDIT:

    OK. I just updated the Ender Slayer gametype. After some consideration I've decided to remove the DMR and replace it with the Assault Rifle for Spartans, and Plasma Repeater for Elites. It puts more emphasis on the power weapons, because in this scenario, in this gametype, they are much weaker than the DMR, but make for better funplay. enjoy it! i know you will if you try!

    I feel like I'm stating the obvious here, but..uh...if you wanted no gravity, why not...jetpacks?

    before i ever laid down the first wall i was planing on using evade. the jetpack is to slow in my opinion. i designed this map around the whole idea of evading.

    you can evade up all the walls in an instant. it's great. jetpack was never an option, to lame in this. trust me.
