While I was playing team mythic I happened to get heritic, I said to myself "Sweet! I hope I can get my sword spree this game!" Well, I happen to get a sword with 70 battery left in it, I have the tools to do the job, but can I do it? I kill 3 opponents with the sword, and then stick the fourth guy. I completely forgot that you need to get all of you kills in a row (but I only realized this later) I kept going and got four more sword kills and then realized that I needed them in a row, but I still had an empty sword, and an enemy right in front of me. Then I did it, I punched him twice and got my achievement with a dull blade. tl:dr I got the sword spree achievement with an empty sword Proof: Bip Bap Bam Its just something neat that I thought I would share.
Hm. Sounds pretty cool Didn't realise empty swords count as sword kills, so I'll have tor remember this one ^^
I thought sword spree was only unlockable in FFA. Guess I was wrong... Anyways, congratulations. Another step towards security, if you don't have it yet.

Crazy how much attention to detail there is. There are tonnes of things like this, you can see this on halo 3 mythbusters on youtube, its pretty cool.
grr i well cant get a sword spree on heretic, even when im remotely close some uber noob on my team betrays me so he can try (and fail) to get the achievement. Also, i absolutely HATE heretic. Its such a crappy built map. The substitution of frag grenades for plasma's annoys me because the whole match on heretic ends up as a nade spam sticky fest! >:[

Haha. Thats funny. Anyways everytime i attempt the achievement I fail miserable because EVERYBODY is hordeing it. So Ima just wait until everybody has the achievement before I go after it. Congrats!
Nice, I got a sword spree but the final kill was also the winning kill so I had "Killing Spree. Game Over.", it never actually said Sword Spree so it didn't count and I didn't get the achievement. Rather annoying but much, much less annoying than being betrayed for the shotgun on Citadel.
you can melee with an emtpy grav hammer in ODST and it still counts towards spree medals as well. Haven't seen it with the sword but its pretty neat someone documented it. Theoretically it makes sense seeing as how you're still holding the sword hilt the game will count it as a sword kill. Now does anyone have any tips for the shotgun spree on Citadel? lol
