Thanks to everyone who nominated this for FHF! I'm glad you enjoyed the map, it was a great experience making it! I hope to be showing some new projects in the near future. Thanks all, Flying Shoe ILR
Thank's for the feature Duck! To everyone else I have come back to the map after almost half a year and made some changes, hopefully alleviating the spawning problems with defense team getting backed into a corner and also improving frame rate performance and fixing a few issues with gameplay I had found. The new version on my file share is called Embarcadero R11, but this is subject to change, so if the number is higher that just means more updates have taken place.
Congrats on the map. I always liked this map because it has something that i have yet to see in any BTB map which is asymmetry, balance, aesthetic and a wide array of weapons in one map. Great job on the THFE feature and the map!
Embarcadero Final Update About a month ago I went back to Embarcadero and started messing around, trying to fix old problems the map had that I didn't understand or didn't know how to fix when I released it. Some semi-significant changes have been made to improve gameplay and performance, so I figured I would post a final update. After this I'm not going back to the map again, so this will be the final version. Download Link List of Changes Spoiler • Saved $1500 in budget, resulting in no frame rate lag or disco in single screen. • Removed lower cable car and added better cover structures. • Made Red Base larger and gave Red Team somewhere better to spawn in objective. • De-cluttered Blue Base/ other areas. • Added Hog for Red Team (defense) and moved Grenade Launcher further from defense to prevent immediate EMP-ing Blue Team's Hog. Added 4 rounds to Sniper. Pictures Spoiler Thanks to everyone who has continued to enjoy playing Barky. I'm glad we've been able to play so many sick flag games over the past year. Thank you!
Shoe, I must say that Embarcadero is a beautiful BTB map and the fact you just did a final update just shows how much effort you put into this map. I applaud your trials with Embarcadero and only hope to match the devotion you carry with this map. It truly in an impressive build and a load of fun to play here with a bunch of friends, no matter the gametype. Congratulations on this one, Shoe.
