I need this map tested for team slayer and obj gametypes. I would do them myself but I cannot get enough people to play. The main thing that I need to look for is when a team is spawn camped in base and see if they spawn into the side spawns on the map instead of in the middle of thier base. Quick Description of map: This map features two symmetrical bases opposing each other with a middle hub connecting them. The hub contains a train track for a kill ball that runs the circuit. There is also a platform directly under the center of the map that is reachable from the kill ball track. Detailed Description: This map contains two symmetrical bases, the bases are made up of three levels. The bottom and top level are stacked, with the middle level jutted out behind the two levels and is positioned midway between them. I used a dish as a ramp up to the middle level from bottom and 2x2 ramps flipped upside down to connect top to middle. Each base contains 1 DMR, 1 NR, 1 Magnum, 2 AR's, 1 Needler, 1 Spiker, 1 Plasma Pistol, 2 frags and 2 Plasma Gren. Each base also has a medkit. There are two entries into each base that connect to the middle hub. The hub contains the kill ball track that runs the length of both sides. A single kill ball runs the track that will occasionally reset and instantly respawn. In the hub contains the maps 2 power weapons, the Rockets and the Gravity hammer. There are also 2 plasma repeaters, 4 Plasma Gren. and 2 medkits. The hub is essential a long corridor that has a partially enclosed roof that pitches up. There is a floating platform directly under the center of the hub that is reachable from the kill ball track. The platform conatins the rockets and a teleporter that takes you to either end of the hub onto a raised ledge. The rooftop is out of bounds as well as the back ends of the train tracks where the killball makes its turn. Pictures:
EDIT: Your map is now up to standards. You have one (1) hours to make this post up to Forge Hub standards. These standards include: A thread thumbnail showing your map A description (500 words recommended) Pictures (at least 3 recommended) Any other information you would like to include about the map A screenshot posting guide is found at the link below. http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-r...reenshots.html Goodluck! -JGarb
The killball flying around the map is a great touch and really adds to the depth of play, as you constantly need to stay familiar with your surroundings. I only played on it with three people, but it has great promise! The only problem I found when you invited me in was the clear advantage anyone with a Jetpack has on the map. I don't see why any other AA would be used, particularly in the tall nature of your opposing bases and their balconies, as well as the difficulty in reaching the rockets below without it. Other than that, it looks fantastic, and as I mentioned, sports a great twist in play with the rotating killball. The only suggestion I could give you is to reinforce use of other AAs by including different pathways throughout the bases. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, I'll add pathways to the lower ends of the killball tracks so its easier to reach the rockets (people tend to jump thus hitting thier heads on the ceiling which makes them fall.) I'll also add some more cover and paths to the bases levels so jetpack wont dominate. Thanks for the advice!
