Download Link: Elevation Elevation Bungie Thread: Elevation Thread Description: Elevation is the end result after several days of Forging by AITape and myself, Michael ATV. Using the map Foundry as the base map, we built up a structure with three different levels (four if you include the floor). Elevation is a perfectly symmetrical map. The map itself is rather difficult to describe, so the screenshots provided below can give a much better idea of the map. Elevation contains two main power weapons; the Sniper Rifle and the Shotgun. Both are located in the middle section of the map, however, the Sniper Rifle is located on a floating platform to which you can get to by either using one of the man cannons, or with a well placed grenade. Up on the highest level, there are two Battle Rifles opposite of each other, as well as a Needler on the bridge connecting the two sides of the top level in the middle. On the right side of the map, there is an alley. On the attacker's side, you will find an overshield power-up, while on the defender's side lies the invisibility power-up. Both are located close to the middle. At the middle of the alley, there is a bubble shield, a Battle Rifle, and a Grav Lift to quickly get you up to the middle level of the map. On the opposite side, there is another alley containing a a portable Grav Lift and the Battle Rifle. Now, the core of the map contains multiple weapons. In the middle open box, there are two Spikers. On each side on the bottom level you will find two SMGs, a Plasma Rifle, a Brute Shot and some Assault Rifles to replenish your ammunition. As well, each side has a Mauler and dual-wieldable Magnums. Lastly, you will find a Plasma Pistol right under the Needler. Elevation has been tuned to work with every Bungie created gametypes that are shipped in the game. After testing, they all work well, especially Slayer and Team Slayer games. One of the best things we discovered about the map is that it has many different strategies that can be used to gain the advantage. There are many different ways to get to almost every section of the map, which results in intense and surprising battles. Lastly, this map has been designed to accommodate any number of players in the game. Heck, even 1 on 1 proved to be interesting and enjoyable. However, we recommend a range from 6 to 10 players. Feel free to post your opinions on the map, and if you have any questions and/or suggestions, let me know. Enjoy the map! TIPS: - Always seek higher ground; you will see more and be able to attack at long distance with the Battle Rifle. - The Sniper Rifle is already in an optimal position from where you can snipe well from. However, there are other spots that you can get to now to which you could not before. Try and find them. - The Brute Shot is not only a great weapon on this map it's also great for getting to higher ground fast. ----------------------- SCREENSHOTS ----------------------- Battle of the Brute Shots Brute Shot Jumping Conflict on the way to the Top Three Way Battle Battle For The Top >> Capture the Flag << Flag Taken! Battle of the Flag Carriers >> King of the Hill << Skirmish in the Alley! Battle for the Hill Storm the Hill! >> Oddball << Gotta run! Gotta run! Gotta run! >> Infection << Odds, 3:1
This map was made to be very fun as well as very flexible. Be sure to check it out. And remember, if you hold the top, you will end up on top.
