BT, play it on master, and then it becomes dark souls WITHOUT the ability to dodge. Changes combat from "#WINNING" to "HOLY **** ITS A DRAUGR OVERLO -reload last save?-"
It's the truth. I started a new character today, finally. Just so I could do the Winterhold quests and stuff. Started out on Master, I'm a Breton using Light Armor. A strange all round combination of Magic, Stealth and full frontal attack. It's so much funner than my old character.
The Nightingale really isn't as good as you might think. I had that and an ebony bow and the ebony was better. The daedric (from what I hear) is like 2x as good as the ebony bow.
Not really anything stunning, its similar to all of the other gaps; 5-10 points depending on levels and enchantments. Its just you can refine a Daedric much bow more effectively at 100 smithing that you can an Ebony. For example (with totally made up numbers,) an ebony bow doing 50 damage can be upgraded to 70 damage, while a daedric bow doing 60 can be upgraded to 95. It is an order of magnitude; 40% increase against a 61.66%. At least, thats how I think it works. I could be totally wrong...
Well, something is up... because my Nightingale does more damage than an upgraded Ebony bow (at my level of smithing), and I am not going far enough into smithing to make daedric anything, so... yeah. Also, my archery was around 90 when I got the Nightingale, if that makes any matter in how good it was when I got it. (Now its at 100)
Oh, derp, of course, I shoulda known that. All of the nightingale stuff is leveled, so its power depends on the level that you get it. There are like twenty or so leveled items in the game. So yeah, if you get it at like level three it sucks *****, but if you get it at level 31 its epic.
so... if you wait til 100 in a skill and get all of the good perks then the rare weapons you find will be pretty dominant? I'll keep that in mind.
I one hit pretty much everything except Elder and Ancient Dragons with my Daedric bow on Adept difficulty using Iron Arrows. **** is pretty cash.
So... I'm like level 18 or 19, and I'm about to kill my first Dragon and get Unrelenting Force. Good or bad? Oh, and the Dark Brotherhood just sent me a note. 'Tis creepy.
WOAH WOAH WOAH. If you're over encumbered, and you get on a horse, you can fast travel! Why the **** did I not notice this before? So much time shall be saved! And conjuration+Whatever else you want=Pure rape. And I've just realized that Buckets are the ultimate tool for a thief. Seriously.
Yeah, old news. Buckets for a thief? Explain? I was more into the arrows. Shoot them somewhere, everyone in the room looks for like three seconds at where the arrow hit, quickly snatch the item.
It also works with pots, cauldrons, and any other item made for carrying things that can be placed on an NPC's head.
