The game has quite a few glitches like that. Like The White Phial quest, once you finish it and get the white phial, which is an item that refills whatever potion is put into it (You have to choose a specific potion type once you get it), once it empties, click on it in the inventory and it just duplicates. I don't use these kind of glitches though, I'm trying to keep this run through as pure as possibru. And god damn, that glitch where I don't absorb dragon souls is becoming extremely common. 4 yesterday alone.
Thay glitch doesn't really bother me as much because i have SOOO many dragon souls. More than I actually need for all of the shouts. [br][/br]Edited by merge: On an unrelated note, is anyone else thinking of doing the hoarding thing? I think I'm going to horde gold and gems... without the help of console commands.
I seem to fight a lot less dragons in my game than most people. I don't fast travel very often, have played for like 65 hours, and I have fought like 15 dragons.
I'm thinking about starting dual wielding on my new character. I want to be an enchanting/ alchemist warrior.. I'm thinking to put soul trap on one weapon and something else on the other.
It depends on how far you have made it in the main quest. The number of random dragons increases almost exponentially until you beat it, then it drops back to the rate it was before... Spoiler you see Alduin raise the second named dragon you fight in the game so if you want the most dragon shouts, I'd advise stopping the main quest right before Spoiler you go to sovengard and harvesting about twenty. The first spoiler is rather early main quest, second is late main quest, for those who haven't finished it (myself included >.<) which is why I have the two split up.
Yeah your player dies but shadowmare can handle more than any standard horse anyway and doesn't get killed by enemies easily . If you hit the jester, shadowmare goes for you too lol. I am seriously stuck on sacrifice mission as it glitches and doesn't continue. Have to put that on hold. Also I killed two dragons that didn't absorb soul but if you check dragon heart scales mission , he tells you that you may find some on the dragons you have already killed... Hence the unvapourised dragons.
So, what does soul trapping do? Also, how do you guys find your dragons? By random luck or do y'all have a map?
Soul trapping uses enemies you kill to charge soul gems, and dragons are both located at certain locations AND random encounters, so no matter what it should be a little bit of both.
Also the ones at certain locations such as dragon lairs respawn. Does anyone else encounter an ancient dragon EVERY TIME you go to the college of winterhold? It annoys the hell out of me that i have to take the time to kill it when i have stuff to do. ¬.¬ EVERY ****ING TIME
for anyone who has completed the main quest, how close am i if Spoiler i just flew with that one dragon to the mountain where theres like a portal thingy to sovengard?
Christ this game has taken me so far away from Halo, I still need to post a map I finished 2 weeks ago but..... Skyrim why must you be so addicting. It even took me away from forge Hub for a while as well.
All done now.... Just a few achievements to get for 100% ,1000 bounty, marriage, 100% daedric weapons seem impossible with the glitches getting on 2 missions. Great game and I'll be starting another game or getting oblivion soon.
Unless you are simply an achievement *****, I beg to differ on "100%ing" Skyrim. You can never be done, there is always another way to play.
I'm would have been with stouf, but over 1700 hours on Morrowind and about 1000 on Oblivion begs to differ; there is a "100%" for skyrim, and appears around the fourth digit.
