I've only joined the Thieves Build and I'm pretty sure I'm nearing the end. It was okay, not the most exciting quests, but not too shabby.
So far I've only done the Companions. Pretty cool, nice surprises... but then again, I haven't finished it.
Mages guild is pretty epic, and the gear you get is decent. Master level spells are so good. Spoiler Conjuration is finally 100. Summoning two Dremora Lords just ensures everything's demise, I could basically watch most fights if I wanted.
You can have two permanent followers with conjuration. If you pick zombies, you can choose anyone to be one of your thralls. That means you can choose two conjurers, or give them a staff that conjures. Each of those will then summon something in battle, so you get 4 allies, not counting your follower and your pet.
In addition, there are several quests where npcs will follow you in order to complete a quest. If you simply never go to the quest location they will just follow you forever, and some of them are invincible. Yes, it's quite possible to have a small army at all times with you in Skyrim, but that'd be annoying as ****.
Would make completing some of the Dark Brotherhood quests interesting.lol. NPC's and stealth have never really mixed.
The adventurer creeps forward and slits a guard's throat. 200 voices cheer. Other guards wake up. Everyone dies.
Actually, that overrules your follower, and kicks him outta the party. Stick woth quests like the last companions guild where you literally get a small army of followers for maximum epicness. Back on topic of epic dungeons, i think the Wolfskull Ruins you explore during the Man who Crief Wolf are at least equal to Blackreach, if not better. And this is the fifth epic-scale dungeon ive found so far, excluding those on the main quest. Its amazing.
They are pretty sure, but mainly because of the quest involved. Blackreach is just gargantuan. There are 3 dungeons in Skyrim that serve only as the entrance to Blackreach. There are 3 main quests i've found that are entirely based in Blackreach. And i hope some mods will add more. The effect of not seeing the outside world for a long time is great on me, almost like the Mehrunes Razor DLC in Oblivion.
I just read this on Game Informer... Bethesda has released details on the first major performance patch for The Elder Scolls V: Skyrim. As noted on the Bethesda blog, patch v1.2 improves a number of issues, including the texture loading problem plaguing Xbox 360 versions and the PlayStation 3 bug that would cause the game to chug as your save file grew. The patch is currently available for PlayStation 3 owners in Europe and should be hitting North America soon. The update is planned to go live on Xbox 360 and PC on November 30. Below is the list of fixes being implemented in this patch for all versions unless otherwise noted: Spoiler Improved occasional performance issues resulting from long term play (PlayStation 3) Fixed issue where textures would not properly upgrade when installed to drive (Xbox 360) Fixed crash on startup when audio is set to sample rate other than 44100Hz (PC) Fixed issue where projectiles did not properly fade away Fixed occasional issue where a guest would arrive to the player’s wedding dead Dragon corpses now clean up properly Fixed rare issue where dragons would not attack Fixed rare NPC sleeping animation bug Fixed rare issue with dead corpses being cleared up prematurely Skeleton Key will now work properly if player has no lockpicks in their inventory Fixed rare issue with renaming enchanted weapons and armor Fixed rare issue with dragons not properly giving souls after death ESC button can now be used to exit menus (PC) Fixed occasional mouse sensitivity issues (PC) General functionality fixes related to remapping buttons and controls (PC
So nothing concerning any other gameplay issues yet, then? The Jarl of Riften won't make me a Thane, and most of the racks in my houses don't work, not to mention the quest bugs.
Thats only funny because it will never happen. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Followers can unlock ANYTHING, even if they have no lockpicks. Epic brokenness is epic, and quite useful for lotting dungeons if tou focus on fighting rather than unlocking.
