no, you have to equip a spell to a hand. 2 shields=no spells

the obvious choice would be a shock spell on each hand, so you have mad force lightning powers

    yes.
Obvious choice two would be telekinesis in each hand, if it's in the game.

If it helps ease the pain, I went to play Oblivion today, and my saves were all corrupted.

    Ouch.

I kinda feel like starting a new character with totally different skills (once I get the game back), but I really dont want to have to shut all those gates again, and do all those annoying quests, e.g Kvatch.

Another wish that will make me happy is that telekinesis is made more awesome e.g. If you launch a dagger into somebody they get hurt or if you could even lift people off the ground!

    Just a bit of info since your on that topic;

Fire and frost have been confirmed many-a-time, however I haven't heard a think about shock spells. Also, if you use both hands for spells, it has only been said so far that they will make that 1 particular spell much more powerful or effective. It hasn't been said yet whether we can apply different spells to each hand for mad combos.

And yes, the best way to get back into Oblivion is to make a completely new character. There will be stuff you might not have even seen before, which may be alluded to in Skyrim. Just go and hunt down all the Easter-eggs and finish all the unique quests.

every time i start a new character in oblivion i always say to myself "im gonna make a completely differently character type and play the game completely different."
but then i always end up with pretty much my usual stealth-archer-illusionist when its time to leave the sewers. the only thing changes is that i sometimes decide to play as an evil character (even though it really doesnt change anything at all in oblivion).
cause the only thing more fun than being the stalwart hero of the land is being a complete **** to everybody in every possible way you can think of.

I remember hearing (I won't be able to cite this) that fire damages over time, frost slows the enemy down, and shock either drains or absorbs the target's magicka (don't remember which one) But yeah, shock is confirmed.

I recall hearing the first two twice, but I swear I haven't heard a thing on shock. Even in these charts people have replicated from magazines, that explain the new combat system, i have seen fire and frost spells there but not shock.

Some pics I found, from an OXM interview which is apparently on XBL Marketplace.

2 or 3 of them haven't been shown in HD before.

Hes quite right. (Now I can't remember where I heard it, but I KNOW I HEARD IT.

Fire does Indeed damage over time, and frost does indeed slow targets down. Shock, however, drains stamina.

Speaking of that OXM report, I was watching it this morning. Its worth watching, because it explains about the overhauled conversation system, and the landscape. And confirms one thing that I wanted which can be seen at the early parts of the thread:

    More varied landscape.

Meadows, Forests, Tundras, Glaciers, Volcanic Tundras and more. HELL YEAH.

It also explained a bit more about Radiant Story, which sounds quite interesting.

Ha a little part of me did a jig when he said volcanic tundra.

Skyrim is a very mountainous place, and I'd love to see some volcanic regions present in the game, because that means we could be seeing geysers or hot-springs. And if not, then at least the assets are there so I can make a mod for it.

I personally want volcanoes so I can jump into them/ knock the Skyrim's version of the Adoring Fan into them (cmon, it's gotta happen!)
