Yeah, the game starts on novice. If you don't change it, it stays Novice. God damn some of these Dwemer ruins are huge, and have so much loot. I've been in this one for well over an hour, thank **** I have an NPC to carry the loot.
I went into a dwarven ruin expecting a legit ruin, got about half of a cell, then it became a ruin infested with the goblins and their pets with the eggs... Fulmer and those things that look like they were from morrowind...
God freaking damnit. I was doing the quest for the College where you have to use those focusing crystals. It was working fine for a second, I didn't know what to do, so I walked out the door into Skyrim. Walked straight back in, figured out what to do, but now the spells don't affect the Crystal at all, so it wont move, and it appears I'm not able to do that puzzle, therefore completely freezing the College questline.
If you haven't met a dragon priest yet i wouldn't read this; Spoiler Konahrik - The Elder Scrolls Wiki
Oh, well I'm on Adept anyway. I thought the difficulties worked the same way as the skill sets; Novice, Apprentice, Adept, Expert and Master. And seeing how Adept is the middle ground I thought it was the default. *shrugs* Still, owned that dragon up but good, I did!
I read on B.net that someone had it start on the hardest one for them. Maybe it's randomized or something?
I've started new on Master; don't. I got to the first dragon fine, but then it kept destroying me. Expert now, and for the rest of the game on my warrior.
Can someone help me with the "deciphering transcendence" quest? I'm completely stumped... EDIT: nevermind... i kinda figured it out as soon as i posted this.
If anyone figures out the rest of Promises To Keep, let me know. I currently have all the objectives filled, and it seems to be at a stand-still. I don't even know where Frost is, come to think of it.
Just a question but, has anyone found all 24 of the Stones of Barenziah? I just got the quest for it and have no idea where to start looking for them. Also pretty curious as to where all the dragon priests are, I've only seen one. EDIT: forget anything about thinking blood dragons are hard, Elder Dragons are the real badasses of the sky.
There's not really any clues as to where they are... you just have to start exploring dungeons and such. They can literally be anywhere.
One or two are tied to the main quest, one or two to the mage guests. The rest are in high level dungeons, and one or two are outside at dragon locations. The last 2 i found were south-east of Riften, past the mountain and in the valley between that and the border, and the other one was at the top of a mountain that is directly north of High Hrothgar, past the valley dividing them.
Pretty sure the only way to do the first thieves guild mission is if you can turn invisible. There's a guard you have to get by that is looking right at the door you need to get through... and you need a good pickpocketing level.
Don't think so. I've done a ****-ton of the TG stuff and I've never had to be invisible and my pickpocket is less than 30.
