Einstein wrote this quiz last century. He said that 98% of the people in the world cannot solve the quiz. There are 5 houses in 5 different colors In each house lives a person with a different nationality These 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same drink. Here's the question: Who owns the fish? The Brit lives in a red house The Swede keeps dogs as pets The Dane drinks tea The green house is on the left of the white house The green house owner drinks coffee The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill The man living in the house right in the middle drinks milk The Norwegian lives in the first house The man who smokes Blend lives next door to the one who keeps cats. The man who keeps horses lives next door to the man who smokes Dunhill The owner who smokes Blue Master drinks beer The German smokes Prince The Norwegian lives next to the blue house The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water With these 15 clues the problem is solvable. ive got an answer, but i wont post it yet,so nobody can cheat.
I did this a few years ago, so I know the answer. You do realize though that anyone could find the answer in 10 seconds using Google.
I did this last year. I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure it was answer edited out? Not 100% sure, but as soon as I read the OP - also edited popped out for me. It's probably just the animal name we used haha. Apparently someone at our school worked this out in a very quick time frame - and I mean quick! This is a very difficult problem at first glance though. EDIT: I edited out the answer so people can actually attempt this. It'd be harsh if I blurted it out :S
I'm trying it out, so far I only know where the Norwegian and Brit live, and all the colors of the houses in order lol.
Use Excel, makes it a hell of alot easier. I'm not sure why it was presumed that only 2% of the population would solve this. Maybe only 2% actually have the patience to solve it. Although, from what I remember it didn't take me too long. I might have just gotten lucky because there is some guessing and checking involved.
thank you guys for editing out your answers,it makes it more fun. As for the percentage thing shatakia,i just copy pasta this from a site
