Eden Created By: LD Recommended Players: 6-8 Recommended Gametypes: Conquest The past few days have passed extremely slowly. I sat there bored, lazily watching the hand on the round clock. My mind slipped from reality as my eyes gently closed. Before my eyes I saw a lush green island floating above the clouds. The sun bathed the island in light and it's because of this the island was lit brightly. I could feel it there was something heavenly about this island. Could I be more obvious a floating island in the clouds, of course it's heavenly! Upon closer inspection I saw a man chasing a women around the island. She was faster and more nimble than he was and she had a nice lead on him. Eve ran around the enormous tree and hide behind it. Some while later, Adam being the slower of the two just made it to the tree and leaned up against it panting hysterically. The island shook briefly making Adam fall over as Eve grabbed hold of the tree. As the tremors stopped Eve stood upright and shrugged. At that very moment an apple fell from the tree into one of Eve's open hands and the rest was historryyyyy! Eden, the map, is as beautiful and lush as the "Garden of Eden". Now it may not be wall to wall with an orchard garden, but it is wall to wall with disturbingly beautiful areas that do not sacrifice gameplay for aesthetics or vice versa. Now that I think of it there's one thing that LD's Eden doesn't have and that's Adam and Eve walking around naked and if it did it would be the most downloaded map ever! Oh baby people are nekkies! The Garden of Eden is synonymous with the word paradise as the map Eden is synonymous to the word absolutely amazing! I can say that, right? You sure it's not going overboard? Anyways I just got off the phone with my agent and I tried booking a flight for Eden, but he said he never heard of it. Maybe if you guys request it from your agents we can totally go thar! FIRSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT The map looks cool, I really like the overhanging dome and figure of it. It looks really astheticly nice like a lot of conquest maps do. Definatley glad to see more conquest maps featured Whats up with the new tag? not done yet? Oh well, im glad its here; i never would have guessed this was feautered
Yet another deserving conquest map graces the front page as I lie in wait on the main screen of Halo 3 ODST; lieing in wait for something that was totally worth faking sick to play one hour earlier than all my silly school going friends. I could've sworn you were doing an introduction that clashes with the reach beta, as it comes out today...
No end in sight for the Conquest Gorgeous work, mate. I checked this out a couple weeks ago. Grand scale + attention to detail = powerful aesthetic combination, if it's pulled off as expertly as this.
An amazing map that makes me feel like im not in sandbox any more.....get it....u know....the wizard of , ok u know. Congrats on the feature man u have achieved pro status!
That banner looks pretty sexy doesn't it? Almost as sexy as this map, it's truly beautiful and you deserve the feature LD.
Even though I don't like Conquest, this is one beauty of a map... almost so much so that I want to play it.
Definetely a beauty of a conquest map, I very much hope that you've fixed some things on it but as it stands, it's still a masterpeice. Congrats.
I'm going to be honest, both of your conquest maps looked great, but I give gameplay a thumbs down. I didn't think either one of them played well, although I did play Eden before you improved some things, it was still meh. I just personally don't think this map deserves the feature. (not to be a negative nelly, {or nick} )

This is so overwhelming, so beautiful and so unexpected, thank you, thanks to everyone who played a match on it and left feedback in my Thread, thanks to everyone who voted for it on ForgeHub Favourites I hope the original 4th placed gets edens sopt and thanks to everyone who made it possible that Eden gets featured. <3 Wow, I never thought I would read my name on the front page once, I always looked up to all the great Forgers who managed to build such awesome maps, I mean, I'm just a average guy with an aesthetics fetish and now my map is right next to one of Fritzster! Thank you so much, again. And it's nice to see more featured Maps lately, most Maps deserve more attention than they get from the community, so I want everyone who reads this to take part in the next ForgeHub Favourites! The nominations barely ever reach page 2 and there are about 30 Votes everytime, thats just sad for the biggest Forge Community, don't let FHF die because of inactivity. I was quite happy that Shad0w showed me this one, you've got talent LD. However, Eden will still be winning FHF as well, as it was nominated before this was featured (and technically would have been up on the front page FHF wise had I not been playing Reach lol). Oh god, . Forgehub, I once had respect for you but that respect seems to have dissapeared. Now no offense to the creator, but this map's gameplay is some of the most mediocre gameplay I've ever experienced in the gametype I constantly ***** that we call conquest. Now don't get me wrong, this map is beautiful, but notice that everyone is just saying that and they're not saying things about the gameplay. This map honestly could have had a large amount of layout changes to improve its gameplay, but you didn't fix it and it almost seems that you didn't even test it. Now I know I just sounded like a total asshole, but that is the nicest way I could have put it. The map is gorgeous, the gameplay is hideous. When I left Forgehub a long time ago, it was because I could see stuff like this starting to happen and I bailed. Good job on the aesthetics.
Is you comment based on v1 or v1.1? Because in my opinion gameplay got a lot better because of the changes beeing made. Also it would be nice if you at least could tell me what is so bad about the gameplay, just telling me that it is won't get me anywhere in future. I had a lot of feedback in the Original Thread concering layout changes and I fixed everything except some weapon placement. I accept critisim, because it's the only way for me to improve, I don't think I need any Forging Tips, but Gameplay always was the worst thing on my Maps, so I welcome every comment that helps me to understand what I did wrong, sadly your post doesn't help me ..
Nick knows what he's sayin. I used to be a conquest fanatic. And although I no longer make such maps, I still know my stuff. First off, fantastic job on the aesthetics of the map. They are extremely superb, and some of the most unique I've seen in a while. I only wish that you had enclosed the entire map. The open ceiling ruins the effect. Now comes the negatives. 1) Your weapon placement is horrible. I'll explain why. In conquest, you don't think much. It is a brutal game of bashing heads and racing to the middle and bashing heads and racing to the middle. Since you're racing for the middle, you'll need your weapons to be in front of you, prefferably on the path you are travelling. Many people accent and beautify their weapon spawns to increase traffic to those weapons. For example, putting a weapon on a gold background creates a visually attractive color clash that attracts the eye to that area, making the weapon more obvious. You however, put the weapons behind. Also note that in conquest, most people are holding their stick forward the entire time, in order to reach the middle faster. People don't have time to have to back up and pick up weapons. This sort of thing also applies to grenades. The next thing I have a gripe with is the sniper spawn. I like that vantage point very much, but putting a sniper their is just overpowering. I would recomment a BR, if you plan on doing any more changes. The next thing is the middle room. I love the grass, and I ADORE the conquest symbol, but the have a bit of flashy grass! I wish you had taken the time to fix that. It ruins the visual effect and distracts the eye. Also, the back wall of the middle room is very plain. I wish you had decorated that wall a bit more. And for my final gripe; there are lots of bumps. Bumps make me sadface. If you plan on making another version of this, PLEASE message me on XBL. I'd love to make this map the best it could be. Kasey's Review. Hello, Now This is the most beautiful conquest maps I've ever played. So symetrical and perfect. I played conquest many times but this is the best map I've seen so far for Conquest. Many people don't apperciate the Greatness of this map, being built on the crypt's roof. 15/10 Is my personal Rating on this map. I only add my favorite maps on my Fileshare, and this is one of them, Thanks for The map!
