    **First I would like to thank Forgehub for selecting this map as a Deco-Contest winner and featuring it in the 10th TGIF. I would also like to thank all who downloaded Version 1 of this map. 255+ downloads of a non-featured Conquest specific map is pretty good by my standards. Now here is V2. Version 2 includes a custom powerup to support versions 2 and 3 of Conquest. I have also added two additional BR's to the ends of the hallways before you enter the transition room. Plasmas are now in the same location as the Needler,and the CPU has taken the Plasmas old spot. I have also included all versions of Conquest, so take your pick :0)**

    Description: Echo is a complex,twisting,confined,and hectic map created for the gametype Conquest. If you are familiar with my maps then you may recognize the Bases and the Walkways from my map Requiem. To make a long story short I had an early build of Requiem that was just the bases and the hallways, so naturally I had the idea that this setup would make a great conquest map.

    I have to give credit to Wakko and Furious for the idea of teleporter boxes because I also included that setup in my map. They are slightly larger so you can maneuver a little better than you could in Faction. As far as the flow of the map goes, you will battle down your corridor into a neutral ground for the Final plot in typical Conquest fashion,cept with a little more space.

    The lay of the land has you starting directly above or below the other team with instant access to each other via the fence wall floors and the home of your first Plot. From there you can then turn the corner to the double box halls for a little cover and regeneration of shields. Then you horseshoe around and down the hallways that include the teleporter boxes. Here you will find 2 Plots and a lot of hectic closed quarter battling. Once you exit the hallways you will be in the Transition room which includes some weapons,grenades,and all types of pretty aesthetics including the Equipment Fountain. The equipment is unaccessible obviously. Turn the corner from there and you are in the Final Room that has a weapon or two and houses the final Plot which is located on the bridge above your head.

    Take all of your plots,the neutral plot, and the other teams Plots and you have a successful Conquest game! But you knew that already. Thats the gist so enjoy some pics and download immediately!

    looks awesome just inspired me for something on my map with your equiptment shower, dont worry it will look nothing like yours or even slightly resemble yours just jogged my memory :p

    WHOA HO HO!!!!!! This is my first DL of today, and I'm happy to say that. The transition room picture made this entire post. It just defines it. It made me want to check the map out, because I was so perplexed. DL'd and absolutely teeming with joy because of it.

    this is so getting played next week-end during con night creep. I hope it's as fun as it looks. I like the tele-door's I think it looks so much better the just a plain tele.

    Thanks man. Yeah the teleporter boxes are fun, Lightsout kept going back there just to have fun with the spikers since they own in that spot. The transition room is pretty badass so I'll have to agree with you there. You could say I am pretty proud of the aesthetic quality more than anything.



    Can't wait my friend, now I just gotta ditch the GF. Good luck with that!

    Thats alot like my old idea for the vertical conquest style map, its a great touch to spawn near your enemies but yet so far away. You are such a consistent forger, all of your maps have been creative, beyond all other maps on this forum. You simply amaze me i have to play this.

    Great map, as usual from you. I too love the idea of spawning so very close, yet also so very far away from your enemies. The middle meeting area is unique and its design offers from some pretty unique, epic-winly battles. Yeh... Winly. I feel V2 would work better on this map, but nonethe less it flows well and is another great addition to the conquest library. You've done er good. Next up, Destruction Derby Remake with LIGHTS.. then, take over the world.

    very nice map, i would expect no less, but since the conquest is verticalised (new word!) wouldn't the team that spawns on top have a slight advantage when they meet in the last room?

    Wow. Thanks man, I always appreciate the words you have for me.

    LOL, Winly. Love it. Yeah you are right though, V2 would be good. I was thinking of including that along with V3 and maybe add a custom powerup in a future version of the map. Thanks for the goods words as usual too.

    p.s. ****, I forgot you wanted to get a jump on the DD map today,my bad man....Soon,very soon we will make that.


    Umm, I assume you mean because the top is closer to the neutral plot? If that's the case the transition room actually puts everyone back on the same plane. Once you hit that room there is no actual advantage to being on top since you have to come down first and jump back up or make some crazy jumps that don't get you there any faster.

    Thanks, but Conquest wasn't my idea if that's what you are referring to. If you mean the map, well, thanks!

    Have you ever played Conquest?? Yeah, it's the balls. It's a classic game of whoever is tougher and more skilled wins. Dominate the neutral Plot and push your way all the way down the other teams hall and into their starting base. So much fun and it gets quite hectic when the other team is pushing down your hall and you have to push them back.

    Wow I knew you had released this, But I didn't think it would make it to the bottom of the 4th page this fast.

    Anyways, I haven't really played many conquest maps (Maybe 2.. 3 at the most) So I can't really give you a detail of what I think this map needs or what should come out, But from what I have seen.. Another fine job.

    I can say from what I've seen while you were constructing this map, and from the test video I watched with you that the only real problem I saw was that the territories area was too small, You were confined to such a small area it left you open like a sitting duck to get pegged basically. I already know you have fixed this problem because I watched you do it, lol.

    I'd love to try this map out for two simple reasons, 1. It looks like a good map to play conquest on, with the narrow hallways and the neutral territory with only one entrance and exit. 2. Like I had said in the beginning of this post, I've only played 2 or 3 conquest games. So next time you are getting a game together for testing or just to get some custom games going let me know cause I want in!

    Looks great, I remember seeing a screenshot of the map in it's early stages.

    (Lol, those screens make the map look huge)
