    Take it to the top...4-12 Players

    Description:
    Echelon was built to reproduce the same competitive, all gametype gameplay as midship. The map has three levels and some small bases. The two bases are on each side of the map and are meant as spawns for teams and objectives in team games. They also house 1 of the 3 teleporters that lead to the top level of the map.

    Bases look like this

    The 3rd way up to the top level is from the sniper tower which is complete with a sniper and a good view of the map.

    Echelon's top level includes a sword, and has proven itself to be a great spot to drop down on people from. Watch out though the top area has no cover and while it may have a sword, it wont save you from BR Snipez.

    Across from the sniper tower is the Hallway. The hallway is great for flag runs or running in general. Beware the hallway is straight and long and people can easily be killed down the hallway or shot through the fence walls.

    it looks pretty good, if you fused somethings it would be a little better, but looks like a good layout.

    Please dont fuse the things. It adds so much character to the map. This map is great. The ramps to the middle Create a good "Ha I got here first now im shooting you in the head with a battle rifle hoping that you arent rushing me with a shotgun" feel.

    This is quality stuff. the central placement of the trip mine is good; you can plant in in that long hallway with the rocket spawn or at either base. The long hallway is another highlight. The dumpsters provide cover so the person who reaches the rockets first doesn't get to clean out the hall too easily. I really loved the top level. You had to use the teleporters to get up, it was exposed, but it was worth it. You can grab the sniper and jump for the sword, but they aren't too close for comfort. The hole directly under the sword is another good point to surprise people on the floor below.

    i like the idea of taking a teleport and spawning right above it, good idea

    ???why not, getting caught on or bumped up by lips is bad, it makes it look sloppy, and when you do fuse it gives the feel that the map isnt forged but an actual map.

    Weapon placement makes sense, layout is well done, and is a Foundry map that I don't have to complain about. Well done.

    Thanks i really put thought into the weapon placement to make sure it was balanced for everyone.

    Yea i really wanted to keep things simple and doing the teleporters to the next level seemed like the best thing.

    Anyone have any comments on how the map is gameplay wise?

    I played a 4 man FFA on this map just a few minutes ago.

    I must say, I dont have any complaints at all. Its true that it would all look more fancy if you interlocked it, but i think the objects are placed well enough that it doesnt really matter in this particular case.

    Ki Jason, you shouldnt just go around randomly bitching at ppl to interlock.

    Anyways, i thought it played well and i had a good time on it. I dont particularly care for shield doors, and perhaps alter the respawn time of the sword and rockets? I guess that the only suggestion i have.

    It may not seem like a unique map to anyone, and it isnt. But it is a map that plays very well, and at the end of the day Gameplay is whats important.

    Yea gameplay was my top priority here.

    In fact i think ill post up some action pictures tommorow :)

    i just said that it would be better if he did, and it's not because of looks, it's because it usually bumps you up if you dont fuse, which is bad. and how was i ***ing at him to fuse, i said it was good.
