It's always a fun topic talking about Easter eggs people have put in their maps. Whether it's a simple nod to a favorite (insert topic here) or a full blown creative approach to whatever the person is referencing, Easter eggs are always a joy to find. When you build your maps, do you try and put Easter eggs in them? And if you do, do you like to do small or big and elaborate? I have a few maps where I've put Easter eggs in them. A couple are noticeable, some are obscure.
When the map you helped me on is in aesthetic stage I will put in Easter eggs. One is is obvious, one is not so obvious, and the other is Black Ops Zombies level of ridiculous.
I always put Easter eggs in mine, sometimes they are elaborate and sometimes it is just something silly
I used to put in pink Mongeese in my reach maps, now they're exploding outhouses. Either that or I do something new.
Alcove Assault's is the drunk Grunt. Sunset Beach's is the Grunts trying to get away from the "shark" plus a couple others. But yeah, I try to do eggs
One of these days I want to have a crazy easter egg, like a whole puzzle map thing inside of an actual map, and have it just blow ppl away
You, sir, are my kind of Forger. I'd be excited about grabbing one of those from the group sharing update that's coming, but not if it's a signature item. Ah well. And you, sir, are my kind of evil-doer. I've been wondering if those new hidden switches that don't show the "Interact" signal will be used to really hide some stuff in maps now. And what would I use as a signature? Prolly butts. Two soccer ball special. Unless dimples are requested. Anyone got some fun easter egg concepts? If I actually made maps, I might try to create words or symbols by placing scattered objects so you can only see the message from a certain spot. For puzzle maps, you can hide something that gets shown when someone uses an "incorrect" combination. Oh! I remember one, if this qualifies. Set up players to do something that looks... compromising. In the open where everyone can see, put a power weapon on top of a pig on top of a pedestal so that the player has to walk up behind the pig to grab the weapon & BAM screen shot! Maybe a pressure plate and pig motion scripts. Guess it might be pretty obvious if I made a map.
