They report to the ordinary person. Unless G4, Kotaku, Gamesradar, and countless other media stations/sites are reporting to investors...

No I quoted it in exaggeration as it isn't shameless advertising to market the product that's suppose to keep the system relevant for the next few years until the next console. Nintendo devoted more than half of their conference to Wii u, I wonder why?

It seems like people long for the days when like 30 exclusive were being unveiled at each press conference. Now that the systems are so close spec wise the rise of the multi-platform game means less exclusives. That does NOT mean less games. Games are a business and shunning a system to be exclusive to another is bad business. So as home consoles become more about home entertainment than just games we will start to hear less and less about "exclusive" games. As a fan of the industry, information about improvements to the console are more important than what games it can play. You'll hear about them in the independent publisher conferences.

i always assumed that if an FPS were made on Kinect,
actions such as crouching and running would be still be managed via some type of controller accessory, because as Rusty said, it would be truly absurd to expect ANYONE to jump and crouch around their living room for more than 20 minutes. especially fat lazy gamers.

that being said though, it'd be kinda fun for that first 20 minutes until i got tired.

fat people would no longer be able to hold the top of the leaderboard for eternity because they would die of exhaustion, and the players who were in the best shape would be on the top of the scores.

    the future...

When the dude started playing Ghost Recon, I couldn't help but laugh. Sure, that's probably the best way to do it, but man it looks uncomfortable...

And he looked like a tool too. But the Gunsmith stuff was awesome.

Alright, Ill rephrase my entire post. I dont like Kinect at the moment, because its not something that appeals to me. They advertised it, not shamelessly, but excessively in my opinion, and didnt have that much to fall back on apart from a few exclusives that everyone already knew about, but were just waiting for them to confirm. Yeh, its basically their next console, and I shouldnt complain because its going to extend the life of my current console so I wont need to buy another one for few more years. But as a consumer and a fan, I was expecting a bit more.

And the reason Nintendo devoted so much time to the Wii U is because its an entirely new console, and no one outside of the company and possibly a scant few others knew about it, so it needed to be explained and demoed. We already know what Kinect is and what it can do.

    "Hey, look, a volcano!"

    "Quick, duck and cover!!"

Did anyone notice how much... worse Ghost Recon looked this year. In terms of graphics and gameplay, it looks to have taken a major step back compared to the 2010 E3 demo.
