First off, I realize this might not be the best place to ask this question, but I figured it would get answered fastest here.

    Question is...

    What is MLG?

I realize this might be common knowledge for some, but I keep seeing those three letters everywhere and don't have the slightest idea to what they mean/what type of map/gametype they represent/whatever it is.

If someone could give me the lowdown that would be great! Thanks!

it stands for major league gaming (MLG). its more competitive and the gametype has br start and some of their maps are slightly changed to fit the gametype. don't really know more than that

To get an idea about the game types, play the MLG play list. Just note that the MM list isn't nearly as competitive but it will give you a better idea about how the game types work.

Major League Gaming, as these guys have said, is a competitive league of gaming that revolves around faster and smarter gameplay. This is accomplished by BR starts, no radar, no equipment, along with 110% speed for faster gameplay and increased damage. Pro gamers play on the MLG pro circuit, in which they participate in tournaments for games such as Halo and CoD. Find out for yourself what MLG is here.
