I really don't know why so many people don't like Chill Out, it was the very first Halo multiplayer map I ever played way back in the day and has always been one of my favorites I cannot wait for it.
Lightsout posted a great vid of them playing on Cold Storage from San Diego. You can find it on YouTube. Everyone should check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PByJcBtC3WE
Let's get this straight. They made Chillout, which will be one of the maps in the "Mythic Map Pack". They say that Purple Reign will also be in this as well? And they haven't provided clues for the third one (not that I know of), which probably means that it will be new and original, like Ghost Town.
The last one your talking about may be "Moonbase Alpha", which I hope would be a new map. We shall see, I suppose.
Ugh, all the code names are so confusing, especially because Bungie insists on changing them every so often. Moonbase Alpha, Moonlight Sonata... are they the same, or are they different? I don't have a clue anymore. I can recall that one of them is Blackout, I just don't remember which.
The codename for Blackout was "Moonlight Sonata". You know, because of the night setting and all. It was very clever.
Yea, that's what I thought, makes sense too. I'm going to find the Bungie update that mentions Moonbase Alpha.
People are saying four maps right now: Cold Storage (Chillout remake with retarded name) Purple Reign (Original map, seems to be a small derelict style arena map, probably covenant themed) Moonbase Alpha (Not much known or confirmed about it, appears to have some sort of pathway that has to be opened or something, mid-size????) Smuggler (Map that has been discussed with that ****ing retarded cryptic messages at the bottom of two previous update, someone tried to piece it together as a sanctuary remake due to the apparently important center of the map and the elevated pathways) Hopefully they all make the next pack and some of these seem to have been in development for a while. 7/7 bungie day release? We can only hope. EDIT: ALSO I would say that there is at least some possibility of a new forge map given how well foundry has done, so who knows.
Yeah, I was wondering what the hell was with those codes at the bottom of the weekly updates. I had no clue it had to do with a new map. I'd love for a more flexible version of Foundry, it would open up so many more oppotunities for maps.
Foundry was actually terribly executed, its just largely better than anything else we had. I'll be amazed if bungie does something good on purpose.
There may be, but for this map I'll be much more focused on gameplay in contrast to forge. I don't think I would consider this a good forge map anyways. I'm just hoping a shotgun won't rule this map like it does on Epitaph, at least it won't have freaking shield doors.
