I have been experimenting with methods for drop spawning people onto a map. I can make floating spawnpoints outside of sandbox, (above the towers). I already experimented with a drop pod composed of damaged columns which worked well except when passing the outer barrier of sandbox, the person is slowed and killed by the drop pod 50% of the time. Additionally, I have been trying to find a way to make the pod drop, again when the person spawns. The difficulty with this is the person and the objects spawn at different times. In the map Halo 2 (racing infection), there is a pallet that causes a chain reaction when anything touches it, and this might be helpful in creating a drop pod. Any help is appreciated

You could use the dropod from ODS3 or ODSZ I dunno, one of the other. You could make it so they hit a building or something in the laserfield before they hit the barrier. and the pallet thing, search halo 3 wire switch in youtube, im in the video, I think thats what you meant.

I understand the vibration mechanism, which I have used before but never thougt of for this purpose or connected to the aforementioned map. I have never heard of these other maps you mentioned so could you post a link. The barrier is actually what keeps people from leaving once the lasers are deactivated, however with the lag of large games, these also slow down players. I may be able to solve this with a custum powerup.

Rifte Gifles new map Protocal has better working drop pods then ODS3's. Im not going to link it because im lazy + it shouldnt be that hard to find. The only problem I have with this is the team gaining the lead, and camping in the drop pod room. Unless your not doibg a slayer based gametype, then dissregard what I said.

Thanks but I actually just got protocol from a friend about an hour ago. I have already created a drop pod which splits on impact without harming the occupant. I just needed the ways to make the drop pods work multiple times upon spawning after start. No need for further help.

Make more pods, eventually each one will respawn, hopefully in time for everyone to have one each.
