I have been wanting to implement drop spawns into my newest map, in the same fashion as used in MLG maps. I've been searching on how exactly to do this both here on ForgeHub and else where and haven't been able to figure it out exactly. Could someone explain how to accomplish this or point me to a tutorial/video of how to do it?

I couldn't figure this out in Reach either until Ladnil explained it to me, was kinda obvious once he pointed it out.

Place the weapon on the ground where you want it to fall once drop spawned and set the respawn time to what you'd like (it's also advisable to raise the runtime maximum on the weapon at this point if you wish to do so, raising it to 8 is the common MLG practice for power weapons), then edit the coordinates to raise it up (around 1 full unit is generally a good height). Whilst holding it in the air, switch the physics to 'fixed' then let go. Then hover over it with your reticle and without picking it up again press B to bring up the object menu and change the physics to 'normal.' Save the map.

When you load up the map again the weapon will fall to the ground and thus act on a constant respawn timer rather than the timer starting only when the weapon is picked up.

Thank you very much, I was close to it, I think the reason it didn't work for me was I didn't have it high enough up. I was only raising it .1 or .2 units instead of a whole unit. thanks again.
