Halo 4 Flood Maps - Dreamer's Folly - YouTube "The Flood cannot be controlled. It can only be released." The Dreamer's Hope Research Facility sits in the shadow of forerunner ruins, on the planet of Harena. For the past 4 years, it's science team has been hard at work, studying and cataloging various forms of the parasite known as the Flood. Due to its small size, it has maintained a clandestine existence, performing experiments beyond the eyes of the general public. The facility has returned to full capacity after a minor breach required a two week quarantine of one of the outer wings. To this day, they continue their deadly experiments, in the hopes of treating, destroying, or even controlling the flood. ________________________________ Dreamer's Folly is a map I built a while ago, and is one of the first maps I built in Halo 4. I was holding off for an improvement in the fileshare situation, and here it is! I was shooting for a "animal preserve" look while also giving it a "secret government compound" feel. A lot of inspiration came specifically from the Animal Exploitation Preserve from Borderlands 2, one of my favorite locations in the game. The gametype is in a free roam style, allowing players to explore and survive as they wish. Players must scavenge weaponry to combat the escaped flood forms. ________________________________ Gameplay Halo 4 Flood Maps - Dreamer's Folly (Gameplay) - YouTube Tips for Survivors: - Your assault rifle may be good at first, but it will quickly lose its effectiveness as the flood numbers grow. FIND BETTER WEAPONRY. - Staying out in the open means that the flood can attack your from anywhere. FIND SHELTER. - The Alphas are particularly lethal. Try not to be the first to die by their hand. - The flood find strength in numbers, SO SHOULD YOU. Have a buddy cover your back. - The facility boasts several automated defense guns. They are useful, but they are DANGEROUS. Don't stray in their lines of fire, and notify teammates of their activation. Tips for Flood: - Alphas have an initial advantage of being able to easily slay humans with a single strike. Use this wisely. Charging straight ahead as an Alpha is not advised. - What the humans lack in raw lethality, they make up for in defensive abilities. Their armor allows them to take a couple hits. Group up on them for better results. - The humans will run out of bullets. Pick off the weaker first to grow your numbers before assaulting more entrenched foes. This will allow for easier victories. - As stated before, the humans do have sentry guns at their disposal. Prevent their activation, and make activated turrets a priority target for destruction. ________________________________ Screenshots
