I'm guessing you mean that the total reload will take .988 seconds because the YY trick will not shave off a full second.
Double switch will cut the animation on any full reload in Reach, as in pulling the bolt back after entirely emptying the clip. The reload speed is constant but the time spent animating it differs so a quick weapon switch will shave time off of a full reload. The easiest way to do this (in any game) and know if it has a purpose is to pay attention to the ammo counter. When the ticks/numbers are reset to full it's safe to YY regardless of the animations progress. This works in all CoD's, BF's, R6's, Halo's etc. And my sensitivity in most games now is 4, in H2 it was 10 (for obvious reasons), H3 was 6. It's personal preference, but if you're turning faster then that is greater than turning slower. How dextrous are your thumbs?
Uhm... That's kind of a hard question to answer. I've never done anything kinky with them, but it's not like I've ever tried. I guess I don't know how dextrous they are. I changed my sensitivity back to 4 and it seems to be working pretty well for me. Coming out on top in most of the games that I'm playing. Still can't do rumble pit worth a damn though.
Well I have better control of my reticle on 10 in reach on the 360 then i can control a mouse on computer games. In reach i like CQC and vsing vehicles on foot so i need 10. Am I right in reading your first paragraph as the reload is longer with a completely empty clip compared to half ammo gone reload? Source? I didn't know that and every little detail that can give me a slight advantage helps.
Swapping weapons reduces the time taken for the weapon reticule to reduce to it's smallest size. For this reason it is used most popularly between shots for no scoping. It also reduces the time before you can scope again after reloading. As for sensitivity, I play a lot of LD so I am slowly increasing mine so that I can do 180s faster to get those pesky buggers who creep up behind me. I am currently on 6, and I probably won't go past 7 or 8. I wait until I am comfortable at the sensitivity before increasing it by one, and playing with that for a few weeks - 1 month.
