DOS4all is a Halo Reach hommage to my 1st ever map I made on Doom back in 1994. I felt that after making Fort BoA I wanted to release a symmetrical arena map so the result was DOS4all Overview of DOS4all The map is designed for slayer, team slayer and CTF matches. The level is layed out with a corridor round the whole outside area of the map with sniper towers placed at each corner. As the corridor is raised the players can walk under this area around the fringes of the map. In each corener there is a small defensive line with bunker which allows teams to control certain areas of the map. The above screenshot is taken from the corridor walkway in a corner of the map. Above the glass window is the sniper tower which can be reached via a teleporter on the ground floor under where the picture is taken from. There is also a gravity lift from the ground floor which fires you up to the corridor a video of which can be seen here. In the centre of the map is a raised bunker which is accessed via a gravity lift in the centre of the main arena. This gives the team controlling it an advantage over the high ground but is still vulnerable to the other teams sniper towers which are perched above. The writing on the wall Feros Ferio is latin for "I am fierce with the fierce" which is my scottish family clan motto, so wanted to give it a personal touch. When playing CTF or team slayer the map objects all change colour so that one side of the map is red and the other is blue, the writing on the wall also changes to reflect which side of the map belongs to which team. At the base of the gravity lift in the centre you have to watch our for stray grenades as an explosion in that confined space will set off a super explosion which this guy found out about.
