I'm going to be applying to a few different studios for a job soon (including 343 and Bungie). I put a lot of time into this map. It's my first map, but I put probably at least a couple hundred hours into it. It's a vertical symmetrical map. It has a feature in it that I would consider innovative...sort of. It's a timing thing. It's a music-themed map so I just started thinking about something to fit that theme and time/rhythm came up and I went with that. There's a hidden weapon on the map too. I want to see if anyone can find it. My GT is SweetFire1491. I just need 8 players (maybe a couple backups too) to say they're interested and then we can figure out a time.
Most people use the discord now for discussion and questions, I'd reccomend going there to ask this. We also host weekly gamenights in multiple different titles that may help with this
Here's a link to the discord. https://discord.gg/WWnE4BzDN4 Some tips though... If you want to gain interest from players, it's good practice to share photos of your map. A good place for that is the work in progress thread, or the maps sections, even a thread like this but Discord is likely the best spot at the moment. It's also much easier to find playtesters by engaging with other player's content and befriending people in the community with the same interests rather than recruiting testers. Lastly, What platform you're testing on is important. Are you playing Halo 5 on the Xbox or PC? If xbox, you may be able to use the customs browser initially. Either way, Halo 5 might have a little less interest these days since 343 is not actively updating it. The mod tools are becoming increasingly more popular. That might be a better bet for gaining interest, especially if you are planning on applying for jobs in the industry related to game design.
