Map Title: Dockside "This old dock in Côte d' Azur was abandoned after the Covenant attacked Sigma Octanus IV. 2-8 Players." Download Map Description: "After the Covenant attacked Sigma Octanus IV, Côte d' Azur was infiltrated by SPARTAN-II's and destroyed. This dock near the city's shoreline was unaffected by the blast, and stands abanonded, waiting to be re-inhabited." Dockside is my 2nd Map, but after going under many renovations, I decided I needed to create a new thread as it's gameplay and design has changed drastically compared to the original Dockside. This Map can be used with all gametypes. Slayer FFA, Team Slayer, CTF, and Assault are recommended for this map. Layout Dockside can be divided into 4 Parts; Civilian Side - Attackers Spawn Dockside Base - Defenders Spawn Cliffs - The High ground, easy access to the Roofs. Sewers - Quick way around __Weapons of the Map__ Assault Rifle x4 Battle Rifle x4 Shotgun x1 Sniper Rifle x2 SMG x3 Spiker x2 Magnum x2 Plasma Rifle x2 Needler x1 Brute Shot x1 Energy Sword x1 Plasma Cannon x1 Covenant Carbine x5 Mauler x2 Machine Gun Turret x1 __Equipment on Map__ Fragmentation Grenades x8 Plasma Grenades x6 Bubble Sheild x1 Power Drain x1 Regenerator x1 Active Camo x1 A View of the Civilian Side from the Cliffs. The 4 Main Buildings can be seen. The Sea Wall that seperates the Civilian Side from the Dockside Base. Only way around to go around or under it. The gutters to the Sword Room entrance. Seen from Main Street The Dockside Base. This is the area the Defenders and the Defenders Objectives will spawn.
I don't think that it would. The corners are sharp frequent enough that it wouldn't see enough to be terribly effective. I think it would be easily flanked... Great map, BTW!
All in all, nice map. It would be nice to see some cleaner interlocking, but that has nothing to do with gameplay, which is what I pay most attention to. As I said before, nice map. Keep up the good work, I hope to see more from you.
When are the new maps of your due OMG your maps are my fave maps i ever played, i like to see your file share, i bet u gt lots of cool maps and sceenshots + vids. Do you no when the new maps are coming? i have been wating an hour or 2 and i am going crazy.
This maps great! the forging is top notch. Actually, the turret(s) (theres a plasma cannon) don't dominate as much as can be expected, because of the tight turns and the fact that a turret takes time to speed up it's firing. The only problem i have with it are: the crouchy-mauler bit, it just takes so much time to get there and back, and it kinda gives you a place to dominate in for oddball. But as you've never said it was built for oddball then theres no real problem, its just im a bit of an oddball fiend. . Congrats on a great map 5/5 and a dl.
hey hey hey like the map. its quite small but i ain't complaining. and the machine gun turret in my opinion wouldn't dominate because of the small surroundings leading to a lot of cover. dude i would totally dl if i had room on my halo 3 disc. maybe i'll delete something for it. anyway great map
Yeah I agree with the Machine Gun thin, it will kill everyone. And for the map, this is really good I like how you've Interlocked some parts, like the Machine Gun tower, and the Fences. Oh yeah, remove the ' and the E in ''you're''.
As mentioned above about the Machine Gun Turret, Although yes, It will be an easy way to rake up a few kills easily, it is Countered by a Sniper Tower in front and behind it, the Sewers underneath to flank it, and the Plasma Cannon in the Civilian Side.
pretty nie map, looks a little cramped, but thats prolly what your going for, from the pics i wouldnt suggest sniper or machinegun, theyd dominate looks liek you could get easily spawn camped i think a sword on this map would own to much also
