Good evening ForgeHub, Like to give everyone a heads up, that one of our member's accounts was hijacked within the past 24 hours. From the looks of it, that account looked like it was the only one on our site that was affected with the email domain the hijacker used. Which leads to me think that the account was compromised on another site. Since the password and email were compromised, the hijacked account was replaced with a disposable email account and a new password. Which leads me to my next thing, disposable email accounts are banned from using on this forum. If you have an issue with that, come talk to an admin. I will be doing more digging on this matter tonight, so if you're just as paranoid or security conscience as I am, I have already changed my password list. Be smart, secure your accounts. If anyone has any issues or thinks their account has been compromise, please let a staff member know. Thanks, Nitro
Oh you... I was wondering when someone was going to comment. To clarify, known labeled disposable email servers. Hotmail, Gmail, outlook, yahoo, etc. are trusted servers and yes spam does show up with those types of emails as well. By preventing the labeled disposable email server accounts, helps preventing security risks like this incident.
