I'm disappointed with the lack of neutral flag in Halo 3....because I think that would be fun on this map.
I'm about 3/4 done with a new map, but I'm leaning towards doing a major overhaul. My priority is getting this one out the door so I can move on and focus on the new one. I don't want to goto v1.0 until I pretty up the spawning - it's not terrible, but there's room for improvement there. I'll be playing around with weapons/equipment and placement in the v1.0 beta (in testing forum). The bubbleshield move sounds interesting - I'm thinking about replacing the bubbleshield altogether. I don't know if anyone's using the bruteshot so that may have to go. The drop spawned snipers and rockets will last about a minute before the disappear. If you run over a dropspawn that'll extend the timer. btw thanks for the film gore - I've watched all 3 and it was really interesting seeing how the map was played.
Maybe the adjusted placement can prevent you from losing the bubble shield. I think it worked pretty well and didn't seem abused. I do enjoy the Brute Shot; I'd hate to see that go. Any chance on glitching in all the weapons for the 1.0 version? I know there's been some requests for the Sentinel Beam in particular, but I don't know how close you are to your item limit.
Woot! If the bruteshot goes, pleeeease remember my suggestions for a sentinel beam replacement. The bruteshot isn't much of a weapon IMO. Just something to take out ghosts with and do bruteshot jumps with. Oh, and I thought the bubbleshield worked fine on this map. I like the idea to move it, but if you're gonna replace it, a regen would be nice. I agree.
It vaguely reminds me of Double Deck from Mario Kart 64. I love good multi-leveled maps in Foundry. I'm gonna DL this one.
All you have to do is set up neural assault, reverse the scoring areas, and set the arm times to zero. It's like exploding neutral flag.
I think the maps pretty well done. My opinion about the proposed changes are that the brute shot should stay and the bubble shield should move. I think it'd be good for One Flag or One Bomb, but I don't like the Neutral Flag/Bomb idea. The map also could use a little more scenery (like barrels and things).
I was just suggesting a way to do it, not saying it should be done. And I kinda like the flags where they are. A 1-flag or 1-bomb variant should go in the suggested manner, though.
Wow...the design of this level is EXACTLY the same as the waterpark in the next closest city here...but without the water.... weird....0.o Q'd.
hey sender... i know that bungie is planning on implementing a community-based forged maps hopper sometime in the future. is that why the MM edition? I would love to see this map get some bungie love, its certainly deserving. oh wow just thought of this...what if bungie actually took the time to re-texture your map...ya know same layout, but make it so it doesnt look like boxes and bridges ya know. different colors, etc.
Different Level v1.0! V1.0 is out! The matchmaking edition is the primary version now. Barring any major issues, this will be the final version of Different Level. Download Matchmaking Edition V1.0 I took all the feedback and suggestions into consideration for the final version. I didn't add new types of weapons for budget glitch reasons. The bubbleshield's moved to top mid and I made a few minor weapon changes. In CTF, the flags were moved to the top of the bridges. Experimental assault gametypes have been added - what could possibly go wrong
Re: Different Level v1.0! What do you mean? Do you mean you added the assault goal objects to experimental locations? Because I don't see links to any gametypes, assault or otherwise.
I assume that just means that the objective points have been placed in obvious locations, but have not been extensively tested.
