Err. Okay. I was playing a game of MLG construct on Matchmaking when all of a sudden, my screen got real fuzzy. Then, when I was done, I ended the game and went back to the dashboard. Nothing was wrong except my avatar. So then, I adjusted any loose cables. (turned off my 360) Then turned the thing back on. It was still fuzzy so I adjusted the HardDrive. I put it back in, then all of a sudden I got E74 and a red ring on the bottom right of the ring of light. Did I just get hit by the Red rings of death? It was only 1 ring btw. Edit: Alright so i researched my little predicament. Turns out i dont have RROD, its an E74 error. Specifically, my scaler or ANA/HANA chip is loose or out of place somehow. To fix it I have to tear open my Xbox which i am afraid to do, I have an uncle that is good with Xboxes and has indeed made $3500 in investments by buying broken Xboxes, fixing them, then reselling them on Ebay. I think he may be able to help. If he cant though, should i send my Box in for repair? I dont have a 3 year extended warranty though because my box was made in 2008. Any ideas guys?
OMG I had that and they made me pay 40 quid!!! BITCHES!! Anyway, it's similar, you're going to have to send it off. ****ing MS.
I guess we'll have to work BTB Shenanigans around this. I have to send mine in too, in the next few days. My disk drive is -blam-. I'm lucky to be able to play Halo 3.
I got the e47 error. I turned off my box and let it sit for a day. it was fine for a month, then I got full rrod. I'd fixit.
I had the same problem, but the graphics problem lasted way longer. Everything in 3D is wrong (thing not right in), then the E74 (totally out). In fact, do not ask for help on the xbox forum. Only useless stuff. If I was you, I would send it in. If your uncle opens it, the guarantee ends. It would be a too great risk. It took three weeks until it returned, but thats better than paying for it.
