Heroic DLC Deviation

    Deviation is a mind-blowing new style Doubles map, using just one Standoff base. It uses the new noclip merge technique to confine the base, create a cool tunnel, and have a room above the base with three ways up.

    Its weapon set consists mostly of SMGs, Carbines, BRs, and the epic spike and flame grenades. It should be played with 2v2 to 3v3, using Team King, Team Slayer, or one Bomb. No starting grenades for optimal gameplay. Regular Team Slayer can also work, but for optimal gameplay, add the custom variant.

    Awesome job using the ghost merging technique! Well.. If you did..


    Oh well, very nice job! An indoor styled map on Standoff, it's a first. I love this new technique, because of it, more maps are now open to forge to your liking.

    Very well done! I will seriously download this, I would love to see an indoor Standoff map.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

    I was working on a map for standoff that was only in the basses!!!! Dang, you beat me to the punch. I feal left out, except mine included both bases. I guess I will have to try a new map, but this still should be amazing. I will download it if only to judge your neatness. You beat me, so four of five to you.

    As good as it looks, I must say this map disappointed me. I have just played 1v1 here a couple of hours ago, and I'm glad I didn't go for the suggested 2v2 game.

    Deviation is extremely fast-paced with most of the action happening in the blue room. I'm sorry, but it did not impress me the way I expected it to.

    I'm sorry to hear that, but I don't quite understand your comment. Why not the 2v2? 2v2 doesn't just mean more people, it flows much better and spreads the action. What exactly did you dislike? I appreciate the honesty.

    Great ****ing map. I cannot rate gameplay, as I only did a Forge-through.

    Anyway, the layout is ****ing amazing, considering it's Standoff. I really love the concept, and every weapon fits so nicely. My only concern is that the top level is a little disorientating to the fact that you can see the regular map. And, there aren't really any solid surfaces for you to know where you're going. If that was too confusing, think of it as this, every wall was see-through.

    Anyway, this will hopefully get featured, as it is something unique, and looks to play well. I would test it for gameplay, but my XBox just red-ring'd.

    I actually think that the map is a bit to small with its narrow hallways outside for a 2v2. Well, it's my personal opinion of it so others may think otherwise.

    I just feel that you should enlarge the map a bit to give it a more open feeling. I'm not suggesting you to make your map open. I'm just suggesting you to make it more open than what it already is.

    That's pretty much all I can think of to say. Excellent job on the merging.

    yeah, is it just one base? thats too small for anything but 1v1 surely? it looks quite crowded from the inside and unneat from the outside, IMO. maybe the outside section could be bigger? with a central courtyard or something? or base-2-base teleporters? 3.5/5

    Thanks for the honest feedback. I would love to add more, but all I had to work with was 8 double boxes (open), 8 fence boxes and 8 bridges, all of which are used...

    I'm tweaking the spawns and adding more gametypes, but so far I've found KotH and Slayer work well. Just because I've got no items left, doesn't mean it can't be improved.

    Thanks to ghost merging, we now get maps on non-Foundry/Sandbox that don't suck. Nice job, some pictures made the map look a little uneven and sloppy (such as Picture 7). You might want to fix that.

    I kind of wanted it to feel like a jumbled maze, which is why I selected the name. Some of the items were placed intentionally at an angle.
