Dethroned is a midsize inverse symmetrical map designed for 2-team competitive gameplay. It also the first map I've made that I believe is up to Forgehub standards. I was waiting for a good time to post it, saw the library submissions, and figured I would toss my name in the ring. I have remade this map several times to ensure both it's gameplay and lack of framerate lag. This map is compatible with all gametypes excluding race and invasion. It was designed for 4v4 but works just as well with 2v2 or 3v3. You could go 5v5 but it might be a little cramped. Dethroned has four levels and consists of blue and red base, green and orange hallway/tunnel, and the center of the map. While this sounds like every other symmetrical arena map, Dethroned is different in how these areas are connected. One unique thing about this map is that the center of the map is not visible from the bases. This forces teams to leave the base if they want to control the center of the map. There are also two lower tunnels connecting the bases that provide excellent flanking routes and safe spawning areas. The power weapons consist of two snipers, two grenade launchers, and a hammer. The snipers are just outside each base, the gl's are in the tunnels, and the hammer is in the center of the map. I designed this map to promote team gameplay and movement. As such there are no places in this map that are safe to stay for too long. While the upper section of the base appears to be the dominant spot in the map it has little cover and is visible from multiple angles which prevents camping.
