Despondency is a BTB map with a plethora of paths that enables the player to traverse the map on foot; so if you don’t have a vehicle your not completely doomed, aswell as offer a remote amount of safety. Impediments also provide the player with improbable cover.

There are also areas where vehicles can roam freely and easily which mix the battle between foot and vehicle; think Rat’s Nest (Halo 3) where it had a center area for infantry but had a road bending around the outside for vehicle use.

Gravity lifts help propel players quickly and easily to the upper level aswell as ramp sections that provides transport for infantry and vehicles.

In the center is a platform with a solid monolithic structure linked by a narrow bridge extending from two sides, which provides a vantage point for either team. Players need to be careful when approaching the central platform or they could find themselves under fire from the turrets facing each other across the map. Player should also be wary of the fusion coils embedded in the walls.

Placing objects is easy, but it takes a good set of objects in order to make a good map with. I wanted to create a map that looked as though it came straight from Halo 2’s Campaign level Quarantine Zone, although the objects I selected combined with other objects resulted in a good emphasis on the decor I didn’t pay enough attention to the maps functionality. However after a little more creative thinking I soon resolved this issue.

Now I know some of you…most of you will disagree with me using Window Coliseum’s as floors, but it was the only alternative to using a large assumption of blocks; not only would this put a serious dent in my budget but extremely limit my options.

I think I accomplished in making a forerunner visual motif and made it thematically interesting. I wish I could do more, don’t we all, despite how I might feel towards this, I think I successfully captured a concept that utilizes forerunner geometry in a way that fits in a design I like.

Note: No customised gametype from me this time, just use the one's already built into reach, just be sure to enable teams if necessary and also enjoy!

Sorry, I had to temporally terminate the link because something has gone wrong with the transfer, I apologies for the inconvenience and will re-address the problem as soon as I can.

Thank you for your patience. I'm not entirely sure how it happened, but the file was overridden by one of its older predecessors, luckily the changes to it were minor and simple to fix, again I apologies for the inconvenience I will try harder to avoid anymore in the future. Enjoy the map!
