Whether it was by military commandeering or a corporate team-building exercise gone horribly wrong, this office is now a miniature warzone. On a semi-related note, the coffee machine in the breakroom is broken again. Someone should probably take care of that. The cubes Inside one of the cubes The aforementioned breakroom, aka Blue Base Kitchenette The water-cooler, for refreshment and exchanging of vital intel The boardroom, aka Red Base The projector. For showing edge-of-your-seat PowerPoint presentation of sales numbers and synergy. The view from Red Base The reception desk and elevators. Looks like one is out of order. Watch your step. It is a law of nature that wherever a copy machine is found, someone will sooner or later attempt to copy their a**.
I agree, this looks to be more of an aesthetic map. Nonetheless, it looks terrific. Funny you made a water cooler...I made one very similar to it. Anyways, great looking map man.
I especially like the motivational poster in the first picture. I can see you are a man used to the soul-crushing atmosphere of the office- block. On a more serious note, could you post some notes on how the map is intended to be played? Looks awesome, but I can't work much out from the pictures.
I don't have any personal experience with an office job (I'm an unemployed student) but I'm quite familiar with the concept. I tend to be a very cynical person, and its by no means limited to things I've personally experienced. Its a team map with some FFA compatibility, mostly revolving around using the cubes as cover. The blue base (break room) is the hosts the attacking team, and the red base (board room) hosts the defending team. It works with Slayer and most one-sided team objective gametypes.
Looks great and is definitely aestheticly appealing. I can understand how this is a great map for infection but could you explain how you've created it so that other game types like capture the flag will work fairly in a competitive setting?
Man, and i was working on an office based infection map, guess you beat me to the jump on it. Oh well, at least we have different cubicles. Good job with this though, through the pictures it looks somewhat open, but that may be just the way the pictures depict it. I will give this a DL and get back to you on the gameplay, if it plays at all.
Kat's ass would be copied on that photocopy machine. Any way this map does seem like a good aesthetic map I would say more than a competitive, just because you have many aesthetic features like the photocopy machine.....
looks epic, the colourblind fx realy ads to the atmosphere on this. can not wait yo play infection on this, i like the small detail like the water cooler, i think someone could use this as a machinima set. this should probaly should be in casual though
I'd disagree with this being an aesthetic map, but it's more of a casual map with an aesthetic theme. Regardless, I wouldn't classify this as a competitive map. Moving to Casual >>>>>
