Not many people realise it doesn't actually stop bullets. Battle rifles, assault rifles, there are many weapons that can shoot through it. I thought it stopped snipers though, oh well.

Keep it under your hat it's a good secret to keep.

Check the hosts vid. Other player may have gotten the shot off before the DC was fully up.

    That's strange...
I guess that's one of the reasons it didn't make it
to matchmaking. It's kinda good in campaing though,
in missions like Sierra 117 and Cortana.

Wait.. what? Do they actually not stop bullets? I haven't noticed because I never use them and they aren't in MM, but I was almost certain that they stopped bullets. If this is true, then there really is no point to a deployable cover.

The Deployable Cover stops everything in the front, but actually behind it, you can shoot small-sized bullets, including the human Sniper Rifle. However, weapons such as rockets or missles, the Spartan Laser, the Sentinal Beam, anything plasma, the Carbine, all brute weapons, Beam Rifles, the Needler, basically anything from the Covenant doesn't go thru. Was the game you were playing on Live? Could have been laggy.

Oh, well that explains it. I'd rather not see them in matchmaking. Just imagine if a bubble shield worked the same way... there would be way too much camping going on.
