Welcome fellow forgehubers to my really cool map. I think you will find it highly thought-out and fawless. What makes it so good: Great spawn system Interlocking of the arena Not dieing after you fall off the arena Spectating Messing with people left on the arena So there are a few good things about my map. Now lets go more in depth about the spawn system. Spawn System: This is one of best things about the map. Basically on most of the worst things about these types of maps is that when one person spawns, they could spawn at a mongoose and when there could be one open warthog. This demolition derby map is different. You will always spawn at a warthog or a ghost unless there is more than 8 people playing. That way you have a better chance of survival. What I did was put spawn areas in the map that go through the ghosts and the warthogs but not mongooses. You will only get a mongoose if there are more than 8 players. Scoring System: In order to score a point, you must knock everybody else out of the hill. This will then give you one point and end the round. This system now takes care who wins. The other maps like this have people falling to their deaths and not respawning. Which means that the game doesn't reconize the actual winner. It reconizes the winner as the person who won the last round which isn't right. Now to the part most of you skipped down to: Overview: This is what the arena looks like. It is interlocked up in the air and is not hanging off a cliff like most of these maps that people made. Notice the big hole in the middle with crates. The crates in the corner of the hole can fall out but the center one is hard to take out. A ghost can easily boost over the hole repeatedly and is very manuverable around the map compared to a warthog. What happens when you fall off/get spattered (2/3 ways you can die and the last is getting assassinated): If you die you will spawn up here. [/URL Or Here [/URL Otherwise you will fall down and then you could go into the teleporters located at the four corners of the arena. [/URL Inside the boxes are fusion coils which you can launch onto the arena [/URL BOOM! [/URL The fusion coils time limit is set to 10 seconds plus the time it takes for each to fly to the arena. The Flaw: I didn't say my map was flawless, I said that it was almost flawless. The flaw is that if everybody that is left on the arena falls off of the arena at the same time, the hill doesn't register the last person who fell off. For example, if there are two people left on the hill and one hijacks/gets in the other persons vehicle and they drive it off with both people still in it, nobody gets any points. The Solution: I added a time limit to the map. Wow, you took the idea of battling vehicles and blew it out of the park! I am going to try and do a new kind of review, pros and cons. I have been getting bored of my usual reviews. My first professional review: Pros- Holy S***! Cons- This piece of the universe has been removed due to extreme awesomeness, please try again later. I like the scoring system, I do not think anyone has did that before. The fact that you did the map on Avalanche, which not very many people use, is great. You used it to your advantage which makes it even better. I have seen a few people make a spectator system but not many did, and none have that were as good as yours. That shows that you truly put a lot of work into this map, adding a lot of extra goodies. You put crates into the center, I have never seen that before. If you want to, maybe add some gravity lifts to spice things up a little more. I have not seen anyone do this before, but if you think gravity lifts at the top are too easy to get destroyed and really mess up the map, put them at the bottom to give a small lift. Good job for using Avalanche, but I see nothing original about this. The spawning is the same. . . it has the same problem any other one does. The scoring is the same as MANY Demo derby maps, with the exception of Monster Jam, as those use slayer. Spectating is not original at all, and you might as well have made it over the cliff. You can spectate when you're dead. Fusion coils being pushed in is cool and all, but only for team games. With FFA, it is unfair because spectators can choose people they dislike to kill. The map is not bad, or good, I just really wanted to say that. It seems like you think this map is amazing, but it is really the exact same as a lot of others. Nothing new, and for sure not flawless. Also, ghosts get raped by hogs. Originality: 0/5 Forging: 3.5/5 Game play: Same as any other / 5
