AverageForge submitted a new map: Delta World template - One of the Average Template Series maps. Read more about this map...
While any and every map posting is welcomed on this site, I highly recommend you concentrate your teams talents into making a playable map going forward rather then a template. A map generally starts with a theme and the backdrop is usually something you work on at the end with the remaining piece count. By using a template a player is limited in layout design and gameplay should always come first. One last thing about using templates is that with the current system the author will not be listed as the original creator and credit will be given to the template creator rather then the forger, that seems a bit unfair. If you decide to move forward in this direction I recommend making your templates a prefab so people can load them into their own maps. Happy Forging!
I plan on doing it soon, and we have already released a lot of other maps. So i decided to post one of these, since it has been awhile since iv done it.
Prefabbing the templates would definitely be more ideal... I agree with TimeDipper, this limits the forger. Creating a background around your map rather than creating a map for a background is much more creative and less restrictive. Usually people spend time hiding the background of a canvas in a creative way. Which is exactly why someone might use this as a prefab instead of a map as well.
