Love the theme! Interesting how breaking outside the map can affect the lighting

Yeah it took a couple passes at making maps outside Truth to get the hang of it. Basically, if you shine a light on an object, it removes the chrome effect from forging outside of Truth. Any part that is in shadow, however, will be super shiny. So the trick is to use low level lights to get the balance between chrome and normal textures. Also objects need to be minimalist because Truth can easily become a frame rate nightmare.

The map itself is somewhat raw, but I may keep iterating on it as I get a better handle on forging outside the map.

Here's another out-of-Truth experiment I made before this on. It's a bone simple 1v1, not really worthy of it's own map post...Maybe I'll put it up someday, who knows. But you can see in the screenshot what happens when this technique is applied to the frost overlay. This one is called Mithril.

I might mess around with other out of map canvases and see if I can learn how to manipulate those as well.

Yeah there's some weird green / yellow think that happens with them. I really dig the way the guns look as well.
