With Delerium, I wanted to try for a different style of gameplay than most arena/midship-styled maps are going for these days. I achieved this by raising the entire length of the side walkways, which puts less emphasis on controlling them and more on team shooting and well-thoughtout flag routes. Is this what you showed me that one day like a month ago? Looks good and professional. I love the right side up bridges that you used as cover. And the bridge slopes in the middle look great too! Everything is flawless and I cant wait to get a game on it. But my favorate part is the depth. The immence structures and skypassageways make the map feel huge: you did an exellant job of milking foundry for all it has to offer. DLing now!! But in the top 4 screenshots, on the bottom there is a structure... a center piece I guess and I cant really tell what it is. I would take another screenshot of that
Wow, If I released these two maps in row, I would be premium now. This is one of the best symmetrical MLG maps on foundry I've seen. Well done. I really like how the aesthetics and cover come from the geometry and design, not just crap thrown around. Props again, Iv0rY.
This is a great looking map! The middle looks a bit open, but its hard to tell because you dont really get a good look at it in the pictures. I'd need to download it and check it out. From what I can see it looks like a 5/5 but I'll try to get back to you. I'm downloading a bunch of maps! Edit- I just DL'ed this map. The symetry is amazing. Its like you put a giant mirror on the map. I'm really in awe of this map. Not only do the bridges create cover they act as ramps to the top. Every object effects the geometry and gameplay too. I was wrong about the middle in my earlier post. There is a great place to get cover, and a custom powerup. The middle still could use a door or two but overall I am very pleased with the map. You have my 5/5.
Good Map, but One Thing. . . I just played this map a short while ago, too. Just like all of your other maps, it has great interlocking and is well constructed. A suggestion I have is to maybe make a way to jump up to the bases from the front. Also, the middle of the map doesn't have much cover. Even though those corner walls are providing some cover, it's a grenade spamming nightmare. Those are just minor problems for me and it doesn't really matter because the map was enjoyable, especially for CTF. -Snipermaster95
i have been trying to come up with another 2 base symmetrical MLG style map for so long and then you make this one. I need to get some ideas like this. although i probably dont have the forging skill like you do, but still ill try. definite download. i love the slanted bridges, are they able to be walked up? I dont really like the open interior, i think u need a little cover like a place where the mauler spawns. but all in all a great map 4.5/5
Either this or Pulse, IMO, is the best map out of the 3 you posted today. The bases are the best I have seen, very unique shape. Even the bottom of the bases are nice. Not only the bases are unique, but also the middle part consisting of those bridges which form a really odd figure. The map has clean merging, nicely done. Looks very EPIC for CTF. Excellent Job!
This looks fantastic and proffesional. Definetly something I would expect from you. The geomerges and interlocks are ridicoulesly clean and the layout is perfect. Another flawless map by the famed Ivory Snake. Keep forging. Please, I love your maps.
Ivory your craftsmanship improves with every map, especially as of lately. You no longer should have a fear of something not up to par. I say that cause I remember you showing me something, maybe this, and apologizing for the quality, thinking you werent that great. Good.. but not great. Well, Ivory... Its great. The slanted bridges are what sells the map. Yes it has the standard 2-base setup with 2-opposing elevated "towers," but those bridges appear to bring a little something extra to the map to allow for unique game play. Definite DL.
First of all, geomerging, interlocking, etc. is flawless. Structures of the map truly give a new feel to the symmetric arena map on Foundry. I also love how each level flows to the next. Stairs to base, angled bridges to side walkways, it doesnt matter where you're headed, movement is really what makes this map unique. Instead of just running the flag up the gut every single time, you have to set-up a route for the flag-runner and defend it. Yeah, up the middle still works sometimes, but coordinated team play is a crucial part of this map that i think separates it from Onslaught in objective game types. I wonder, ever try setting up a MLG Bomb/Assault game variant for this map? It might play well with the setup of the bases...anyway, great map (5/5) loved playing it with my friends.
To break this down: Very Open, great symmetry,clean interlocking for the most part, but nothing too unique I give it a 4 for asthetics.
I still play on this after having it downloaded for forever...lol I love the bridges on the side so much, I always wanted a difference between Onslaught and this is it.
Ok im going to be truthly honest the map looks good but when i was playing on it the gameplay was simply awful the spawns were off and there is to much cover in some parts but not in others.
