Declaration Download Link (v1.0): Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details Declaration is a small map designed for small matches, ranging from 2 - 8 players (6 being the ideal number). The map is designed for relatively quick matches. Declaration is also suitable for every game mode. Declaration is set up for every game mode and is very balanced due to the map being completely symmetrical. Each team has the same amount of cover and weapons due to this. The teams start on either side of the separating wall, with a central monument allowing access to the Overshield from each side. The overshield is on a long respawn timer, as are the grenades situated next to each base. A Grav Lift is situated underneath the Overshield for those who fall into the central monument from above. This is on a fast respawn time. I have kept this map very simple in terms of weapon availability. There are no real power weapons, only the central shotgun comes close. Some simple object merging was used across the central wall. The map contains: 1 Grav Lift 1 Overshield 1 Shotgun 2 Spikers 2 Assault Rifles 2 Plasma Rifles 2 Needlers 2 Battle Rifles 2 Plasma Pistols 2 SMGs 2 Magnums 2 Frag Grenades 2 Plasma Grenades Images
looks pretty good definetly small like the description says though it seems to flow good. In oen of the pictures it loooks like your trying to AR his head.
Way to small. A shotgun would dominate on this map and if he had overshield too? This is insane. If I spawn at my base and see another guy spawn at his base, that is a bad thing. This might be good for like two players in one versus one, but no more than that or you'd get spawn killed a lot. Sorry, but the fact that it's so small ruins the whole entire map. The aesthetics are the only okay thing here. I hate every other aspect of this map. Better luck next time.
I thought about that spawn kill thing right after i posted. Its a shame spawn killing is a lame map killer
Seems like an amazing 2v2 map for me, with BR starts. The shotgun looks like it would change the game play drastically, as well as the overshield. The only problem is escaping the map with a flag or bomb or oddball. If you grab the flag/ball/bomb and get the grav lift, couldn't you just get on top of the surrounding blocks?
I don't know, seems a bit small for 3v3. Doubles would probably play better. But, don't quote me on that, I haven't played the map. One thing I might recommend, that is if you are looking to improve your map, I would build a set of bridges over the map to give it a little more dimension. If you put spawn points up there, you might even reduce some spawn killing.
Aye that sounds like a nice idea putting in more elevations. Yes it's possible to leave the map, even without the Grav Lift tbh this is something else I need to work on. I've done a 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 on this map and can say that 2v2 and 3v3 were fine. The 4v4 was a lot more crazy and unorganised as far as the game went but it was a fun match nontheless. It was kinda like that map with all the crates on CoD4 in a 64 player server - crazyness ;p Ill make a v2 with the new additions guys, thanks for the feedback.
